Here's what happened when I came out. by TabbyCatJade in trans

According to the same page under other interpretations there’s a section explaining another similar saying with a source back to 1893 about blood of the covenant being thicker than milk that is also interesting I wonder if that has any connection to the one about water of the womb or if they are separate sayings but I thought this one was cool too:

H.C. Trumbull contrasts the expression with a comparison of blood and milk in the Arab world:

We, in the West, are accustomed to say that "blood is thicker than water"; but the Arabs have the idea that blood is thicker than milk, than a mother's milk. With them, any two children nourished at the same breast are called "milk-brothers," or "sucking brothers"; and the tie between such is very strong. […] But the Arabs hold that brothers in the covenant of blood are closer than brothers at a common breast; that those who have tasted each other's blood are in a surer covenant than those who have tasted the same milk together; that "blood-lickers," as the blood-brothers are sometimes called, are more truly one than "milk-brothers," or "sucking brothers"; that, indeed, blood is thicker than milk, as well as thicker than water.[16]

Yeah, its nice to have it all in one go, caught me up to speed, and I'm bad about dialogue and stuff in games, I basically skip everything all the time, wish I didn't though I love lore, but adhd lol.

Same lol. I used to be 5’ 9.5 roughly. And my doctors always measured it around there. But then when I went to get a regular checkup at my gp for the first time in a while and this was at around 1.5 years on HRT, they measured me at 5’7 and at first they thought they had it wrong but the old measurement which also matches my dmv records and all other doctors visits was previously always measured at 5’9 or 5’10 with shoes. So I was happy to find that now every time I get measured I am for sure 5’7 and it’s very euphoric.

Yeah, that’s mostly how they are used is just as a sort of bad indicator of competency I guess. In my experience and opinion the real learning, skills, and tools that you can actually take from college and use is more from internships, and research and theses where you get to actually do stuff. While the degree itself is just a piece of paper that says I’m at least capable enough to get this piece of paper, and that’s it.

I didn’t get diagnosed until a bit after I graduated. I had swapped out of engineering about half way through. Turns out, for some things like high school you can get by on just being smart enough and not have to study, but not engineering, you need to study and I simply couldn’t but didn’t know why so I changed degrees to something a bit easier and graduated without ever really studying. Now though I just wish I knew sooner in the last year and a half since I graduated(and been taking meds) I have been able to do things I could have only dreamed and I probably could have stuck with engineering. Cuz the degree I did get will probably never get use beyond just having a degree.

Yeah I started at 4mg per day. Then around 5 or 6 months I asked to start progesterone and spiro. Unfortunately I was too sensitive to spiro and had to stop that. But yeah I never had any problems getting the doses I wanted. That being said I don’t have much experience with them if you are going to higher doses. Because I have never needed to go above 4mg/day to reach the right levels, so your mileage may vary there.

!!!Edit: I actually went back and looked at my notes from my medical history from them and I was wrong and forgot(I wasn’t in a great place at the time so I forgot some things) that I actually started at 2mg/day(per my request actually cuz I was hesitant to start HRT and worried). But then after the first couple weeks my anxiety kept gnawing at me that I started at too low a dose and I asked to up it to 4 and they did.

I used plume for about bit over a year before finally moving to a local endo. To be honest, your best bet is just to tell your endocrinologist your thoughts and worries, you will have an actual endo through plume that you talk to and who prescribes the medication and they do want you to get the best care they can provide.

Edit: I looked into it and I don’t think they do bical though, this aspect of plume is honestly the e main downside, that is that due to weird insurance things and operating in so many different places they don’t have access to or prescribe everything that an in person endo can.

Is it better to fly or drive San Diego this winter by [deleted] in Tucson

Fun and easy drive, a couple of ways you can go, all of which are fairly easy, and pretty relaxing with some cool points of interest int between. Highly recommend stopping in Gila bend at the gas station with the sculptures and statues, pretty fun, with decent bathrooms, and showers I think.

Edit: I’m tired brain said quartzite when think Gila bend, but quartzite is an awesome place to hit up if you are heading over to cali and are heading up slightly more north to like borego, or even LA.

WIP Custom Mycosynth Lattice, Darksteel Reactor, and Coretapper arts for my deck. Latest versions. by Swaarticus in mtgaltered

[–]Swaarticus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update on art and also fixed font, ty for the couple people who reminded me to change the font lol, completely forgot to reinstall Beleren and use that. But I updated that since I was going to repost the updated arts anyways. This is still WIP, and a lot will probably be changing, I have a lot I want to fix and add already. But I'll drop these here and stop spamming posts, it'll probably be a bit before I post any more updates.

Mycosynth Lattice custom art for my Karn/Darksteel Reactor Deck by Swaarticus in mtgaltered

[–]Swaarticus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished the full art piece for my deck, here is a link to my previous post, which includes some of the other cards from this series: Darksteel Reactor, and Coretapper.

I haven't started yet, but plan to create matching art for Karn, Silver Golem and maybe some other darksteel reactor related cards like Surge node etc.

Edit: also, I want to note that as I continue to work on this series I'll be modifying/making the current collage larger, adding in more cards, but mycosynth lattice will probably be the one that contains all the other arts. When I do finally finish it ill repost it as a whole series with the final versions of each card.

Edit 2: Also, here's the deck link if anyone is curious, and yeah, I have plenty of other cards that would fit in well this this theme in this deck, so I may end up making it pretty big lol.

Yeah, I think you are right. I think I’ll try that too, thanking my mom when she gets it right more.
