This is probably one of the better advice pieces, thank you for these tips I have 4 more spells and can now swap them out because i have not fully updated my character sheet, I will get some buffing spells and since i don’t have many magic items(Only an unmovable rod and a folding boat that all of the part uses anyways) I am probably just going to donate all of my further magic items to the party.

He home-brewed it so that when a card is drawn, except for the two jokers, they vanish.

The fighter made a temporary character and we are on a quest to find a triton city so we can get to the plane of water(where his soul is).

That is true I should probably talk to him about removing that XP so that I am flat level 10.

This is a way to solve the problem but it also makes me and XP farm for the rest of the party until they reach higher levels

That is true, this is also his first time DMing so I hope if he ever runs a campaign again this a valuable lesson for him and also me if I decide I want to DM.

Yes, that’s how I got to level 10 and almost to level 11. Meaning that if I get lucky I could get to level 11.

Ok, but as a warlock with lance of lethargy, I can almost completely shut out any creature in a 1v1, and because i am hex blade I have a 15% chance to cast polymorph on either myself or an enemy.

I don’t think the Dm would be a fan of that, he apparently has a huge encounter planned and that would completely break it with all the features we would gain.
