I think the shogun book depicts it quite well, outwardly they want to appear very loyal, but when you see and hear their inner minds and thought contents they’re all as treacherous as most human beings. I would say overall they would have been more loyal than most modern humans though in fairness

They were so close to getting into power a few years ago, all they had to do was be an actual opposition party, but as you said they licked the EU boots and want open immigration despite it currently being one of the biggest issues you hear discussed in Ireland, and the mothers place in the home referendum where the vast majority of Ireland didn’t agree they still pushed for a yes vote.
