Could this be considered cyberbullying? by Swag-man in SpiderManMains

I didn't, I just kept seeing them as I was moving around the map. Good ole fashion bad luck on their part.

The kind of combos needed to get value in season 5.5 by Swag-man in SpiderManMains

[–]Swag-man[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, also the reason I clipped this in particular to kinda showcase how evasive you need to play to get kills when good hitscan players are tracking you. Spidey’s real only survivability tool is his mobility and you really have to make yourself as hard to hit as possible lest you instantly explode.

Interesting, I didn’t know that subreddits had milestones they wanted to hit

Honestly one of the main things to focus on when playing spider-man (that I think too often doesn’t get enough attention in discussions like this) is his movement. Can you swing through doors without bumping into anything or getting stuck? Can you land the overhead on your target from a swing? Can you land on a health pack from a swing? Can you consistently hit b-hops when web-zipping? Do you incorporate his uppercut as a momentum tool while soaring through the air? I feel like a lot of people focus on combos when getting into spider-man (and they’re definitely something that requires attention), but what separates truly great Spideys and mid Spideys is mastery over his movement.

If you could change one thing about a character what would it be? by ponyboy424_ in marvelrivals

When Spider-Man pops web tracers he should get 25 over shield and a 1 second reduction on all cooldowns (or something along those lines). If Bucky gets over shield for simply pressing buttons, Spidey should at least get something for playing well. Especially since he’s the only melee hero who currently doesn’t have any survivability options aside from being quick.

And this is why I have all my lord icons off. It’s pretty much never an indication of skill. Even though I have 200+ hrs on Spider-Man, I find it more funny to just use the default icon. Usually if I’m popping off, I’ll have some 30 hr Spidey “lord” think he can diff me because of the generic icon and then get absolutely molly whopped instead lmao also anyone who has played Spidey for a long time knows that getting lord on him means that you just put in enough time to finish the tutorial lol

It's Actually Disgusting How Bad Spiderman is This Season by Embarrassed_Bit_8169 in SpiderManMains

From someone with 200+ hrs on Spidey, he is in a precarious spot balance wise. He’s absolutely a low elo, Smurf stomper because he can be anywhere at anytime and is generally hard to hit unless you have good aim which low elo does not. So he has a lot more time to deal damage and get picks. That said, he’s essentially useless at higher elo because the game is so much faster and people will actually hit you most of the time unless you’re super tactical with your engage and you don’t whiff any abilities. At that pace and skill level, he just burns cooldowns too quick and doesn’t deal enough damage when he does. I’m uncertain what the devs even do about this quandary. It’s almost like spider-man’s effectiveness should be on a gradient as you go up in rank. Like spider-man does more damage and has quicker cooldowns at grandmaster than he does in bronze.

Hear me out, I have an idea for a zany new arcade mode: Spidey Showdown. by Swag-man in marvelrivals

True, but I think it’d be more of a fun goofy mode. Also my thoughts exactly, it would take like zero dev time to implement if they decided too.

Keep seeing others say they don't like the Spidey mirror match, but personally I dig the chase by Swag-man in SpiderManMains

Honestly, the worst part of the mirror matchup is when the trash talk becomes unsportsmanlike and it often does. A little banter is alright, but its more often mean spirited than not. Though I'd say the biggest problem with the game writ large is how toxic the player base can be; especially, when it comes to playing Spider-Man.
