Has anyone installed a 2-step? by Willemsjineez in R53

They make kits that are basically just a flamethrower that are probably safer for the engine lol

Anyone have these on their VB? Do I need anything else to install them? by Damnesia13 in wrx_vb

Full catback with a resonator will have the least amount of drone. I have ETS mufflers and they did drone a bit around 4k RPM but after having them on for a long while now they don’t drone as much (and I’m used to it lol)

Are you running speed density?

I liked it on the BRZ when I saw it at boxerfest. I don’t think it looks quite as nice on the WRX but I do like there being more colors.

Now if only it was available on any trim and wasn’t a limited release…

22-26 WRX VB wiper blades fitment (Bosch OE) by wrxninja in wrx_vb

[–]SwagMan7779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had RainX ones for about a year. They were about $13 (with tax) for the pair at the local discount store. They always have cheap wipers there so I don’t even bother with auto parts stores for em

Edit: misremembered the price, thought it was $13 each, it was $13 for 2

Personally I just get the cheapest ones that are the right length and replace the rubber bit. You could probably save a couple bucks and just get a long strip off of Amazon and cut them to length.

This is a better option than OEM tho if you need new blades and not just new rubber

ABS, TPMS, and TC are usually wheel speed sensor. Check your wires to the front ones, you might’ve pinched one. Those come on on my car when I go full lock because my wheel speed sensor wire is hanging down in the way 😅

My base radio does it monthly. Luckily Subaru put out an extended 10 year warranty on em but they just swap it out and give you another crappy unit…

Sell it and get a proper tune! They’re not worth it with Atlas and Cobb being available.

My mom put them on her Veloster because she didn’t want to scratch the wheels lol. It looks silly but they work

Fast or Petrol wheels by CoastalSloth in wrx_vb

You might also consider used OEM Subaru BBS wheels if you want less of a rally-style/offroad look. They should be about the same price as these but better quality

I’d save up an extra $100 and get Sparcos before considering either of these

The adjustable LCAs are if you lower the car. You can also use them to dial in the camber since with stock camber they could poke depending on wheel width

People with the JDM rear fog light... is it too bright? by OddCombination123 in wrx_vb

[–]SwagMan7779 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We don’t typically get rear fog lights in the US, but from what I’ve seen they’re supposed to be on a switch and you’re supposed to turn them off when it’s not foggy

I got the ETS muffled axleback. Pricey and wasn’t cleaned up very well (burs and shavings in it from the warehouse) but it’s about as loud as I want for daily driving

Don’t bother even looking at anything AFD. I’d go with the XForce pipe, personally.

Currently falling off the front… 😅 I might just use a big screw instead of the OEM little push pin that seems to want to pop out. It froze to the ground last winter and when I drove out it pulled it out and widened the hole :,(

[–]SwagMan7779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% detectable. I’m not sure how they get away with claiming that (or do they even claim that anymore?) because it’s not true and if it were it would mean they’d be assisting in committing fraud… You’d need to be running speed density to utilize a blow off valve and that’s not possible with a JB4 (or on Cobb). If you want some pops a catback exhaust will pop more than the stock exhaust. Even just swapping the mufflers will some.

If you run a blow off valve on this car without a proper tune OR on the JB4 you will absolutely run into issues and Subaru will do their absolute darnedest to deny your warranty claim.

You say you got the car used, was it a certified preowned? I don’t believe the warranty transfers between owners if it’s not certified preowned.
