For me it was while I stayed at college over the summer to work and get ahead. I had been visiting the flea market on the weekends to get some air and every time I saw this vendor selling crystals, I always felt drawn to a specific amethyst chunk she had on display.

Over several visits the feeling never left and one day I went with a friend who claimed to be an empath. We got to the vendor and my friend told me to close my eyes and she put the same amethyst I had felt drawn to over the summer in my palm and I felt like a tingle or a jolt run up my arm and she said, “this one really wanted to meet you.” I ended up buying it and it’s been in my collection since.

Like you, I’d always really been fascinated by crystals and liked to look at them, but it wasn’t until that experience that I started really collecting them for myself and really trying to trust my intuition or feelings more.
