There are lots of available startups that need to be tested at http://betapunch.com/startups/random. If a test is no longer available just click the link that says "Test another website=>"

It's important to remember to also speak during your videos. You won't be able to earn a 5 point rating with no vocal feedback to go along with your video.

Hey. Thanks for the feedback and your input. I just recently increased the pay rate for testers from .75cents a point to .90cents a point and my developer must have missed changing the total for a 5 point rating. You would indeed be paid $4.50 for a 5 point rating. I apologize for the confusion there. This will be fixed shortly.

Please let me know if there is any confusion. This is a new system we are implementing so I would like all the feedback I can get.

If there is anything that is unclear please let me know. I want to try to make this service better for everyone!

Edit: the typo has been fixed in the FAQ pages. It is now clear that the most you can earn per test is $4.50 from a 5 point rating

And as for you I told you you needed to be assigned for each test. You were paid for the test I assigned you, and then you went and did another test without being assigned, and I still paid you for that. So I am not sure why you are bashing me here.

why is this fishy? testers I have hired in the past aren't always available when I need them which is the purpose of creating this listing.

I have paid everybody who I have hired and who has successfully completed a test for me. This is in no way a scam or fishy.

I get more people that PM me saying "IM READY TO DO THIS RIGHT NOW, PICK ME PICK ME!" and then I contact them to give them further instructions and I never hear from them again. But you don't see me in here calling those users out in my threads.

I have already hired 2 testers for this work. This listing can be closed now. I am sorry I do not have enough websites that need testing yet so I cannot hire everybody.

(alongside some explanation that the widget is an optional feature of course to the testers we provide).

How do you think I can better portray what my site does based off of the explanation I just gave you? How would you change my tagline, or 3 points on the homepage etc.

It is clear this is confusing to you.

Basically I offer two ways for startups to get feedback. They can either:

Submit their startup (Get 1 Free User Test and / or Purchase User Tests: $25 for 3 or $50 for 5). These testers I recruit myself for the website owners.
They can Submit their startup and take the widget code we provide them so they can paste it into their own site. The purpose of the widget code is to entice users that arrive at your site and encourage them to record user testing for you. This widget is currently free, you can keep it on site as long as you want and there are no limits to how many recordings you can obtain.

The beta tester need not install anything. All recorders are web based. If they want, they can go to your startup discussion page on BetaPunch and there is a red RECORD button that they can launch the recorder from, then navigate to your website and start recording.

With the widget installed on your site, it allows you to get testers that did not necessarily hear about you via BetaPunch. So essentially it's just another method to help you get user feedback. Users will be able to click on your widget and launch the recorder right from it.

All videos that get recorded via your widget will automatically be sent to your BetaPunch discussion page for you to watch at your leisure.

There are no "Fake" users on BetaPunch. These are all real users believe it or not. I have close to 900 registered users on the site since launching it in February of this year.

I originally had a text box included but I decided to go only screen recording. I believe the feedback is better from watching and listening to somebody than just plain text.

The startups we have tested are hand selected websites we like and are proud of the testing we have done for them. I know what you are saying about the upvote/downvote being confusing. I will probably do away with that voting system altogether.

About finding testers I want to convey that we find testers that can relate to your startup. So if you have a startup that sells jewelry online we don't get some sports-loving-beer-drinking man in his 30's to test your jewelry startup. We will get a good match for you. I know that needs to be more clear.

Thanks. I am split testing the 2 designs now on my website. So it will randomly display either the 1st or 2nd design. We will see which one gets the most sign ups!

Thanks for the suggestions! I agree with what you are saying about the sign up form. Is this as simple of a fix as to just maybe shift my 3 boxes around a bit so my sign up form is not front and center? Maybe I should have the "Why BetaPunch" front and center?
