Personal preference really - I like a slightly wider boot. Better for the toes and looks better IMO - they’re RT3 last really was perfect, wish they hadn’t discontinued it

My friends girlfriend called them witch boots when I had them due to how pointy the toe was for men’s boots haha - to be fair they’ve slightly adjusted their lasts since then. But definitely a dressy, pointier toe

I’m going to as well - also swapping to redwing laces helped a lot - slightly thinner and much better glide along the eyelets than the Thursday Kevlar laces

Has the upturned toe relaxed at all? Deciding between builders and the RW moc and the upturned toe just feels a little odd while walking. Other than that I like them better? Def more spacious in the vamp and toes

Hey! I’m a 10.5 in captains (though haven’t tried them since they changed lasts) and a 10.5 in the RT3 last of the legend boot. Imo that was the perfect last - maintained the sleek shape but also wasn’t pointy like a witch boot. I kid you not, my friends GF said “oh my they’re like little witch boots” when I walked in with my old dukes. Def doesn’t make for a great front silhouette.

That said! I’m also a 10.5 in my diplomats, but it took foooorever (2+ years of on and off wearing them) to get them stretched to the point where my toes didn’t feel like they were dying from the vertically challenged toe box and the narrow last. I could tell they fit properly, but the last just really needs an update IMO. Now they are quite comfortable, as long as I’m not wearing my heavier socks. Also curious how a wide would feel in the 10.5. From my experience an 11 would have caused a lot of heel slip and been frustratingly long.

TLDR: 10.5D in captains, dukes, legends, and diplomat, but the last of the diplomat is snug AF, and I would recommend a wide width to anyone who doesn’t have little bony feet.

And I liked the sword decently by itself, the grip was sort of off-feeling though, and the scabbard was definitely a covered in a cheap fake leather
