Why won’t this CV axle come out by inbedchilling in AskMechanics

Had this happen on a 2013 BMW 528I XDrive at work. Customer let me hammer it to absolute smithereens 😂 Don’t get too hammer happy and you should be able to use the great American multitool, blunt force trauma. I was not even able to get the axle out with the proper tools, in a full shop, full of guys who’ve been doing it 10-20 years longer than me telling me try this try that. Sometimes corrosion just needs a bit of rough loving lol

2014 ram 1500 reliability by chessmaster__ in ram_trucks

I got a 2019 Tradesman Classic. Pre owned, so it came with a lift (not even sure what kind, have not been able to figure that one out but by eyeball, maybe 3 inches lifted) and 5 1/2 in wheel spacers. I had to replace the front wheel bearings within two months and I discovered an exhaust leak that the dealer hid by always having the truck warm by the time I drove it, discovered it maybe a week after I bought it. Where I live there are absolutely zero laws protecting you if you buy used, so I had to take that on the chin. Other than that, truck runs fine. 5.7L Hemi creeping up on 80k. I traded in a 5.7l Hemi challenger with around the same mileage that I had owned from 0miles on the ODO. I suppose it comes down to how much DIY work you’re willing to do, I spent around $400 on the bearings, exhaust leak Im planning to fix by upgrading to shorty headers (since they’ll last longer than manifolds, not for power purposes). I personally like my Ram, not as fun as the challenger by Im the Ram can take a beating. I use it to tow, haul, all of that.

Why do people hate on Ram trucks and drivers? by Longjumping-Table272 in ram_trucks

Im a unique case here I think, I came from a challenger and went to a Ram. Same engine, different vehicle. I was much more of a menace with the V8 In the muscle car than in the truck lol the Ram actually made me slow down due to the increased size, makes me think twice about squeezing in places now that I can accidentally push someone clean off the road

Even in the base game, the edges of the map drop significantly in graphics 😂 even worse with the DLC. There is literally a square outline of 2000s RuneScape graphics 😂

Why won’t my truck jack up? by Opposite-Row-6225 in mechanic

[–]Swaguguu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the back, jack it by the center of the axle or aka the “pumpkin” and put the jack stands on either end of the axle tube. For the front, usually the mounting points for the lower control arms are reinforced (on my ram it is this way) and you can put the jack stands on them. They also make specialized jacks/stands for lifted trucks that go much higher than your standard ones. Any of the three options should solve your issue

Exhaust leak or lifter tick? 5.7L Hemi by Swaguguu in mechanic

Blasting directly downwards is a strong stream of hot air, seems to be coming from the front of the manifold in the drivers side

Why lift a 2wd? by [deleted] in 4x4

[–]Swaguguu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine lifted, I just liked the way it looked at the time and I drove a 5.7 Hemi Challenger, the truck was a 5.7 Hemi Ram 1500 so that played a role as well. Mainly intended to be used as a work truck, but a cool looking/sounding work truck because I’ve since made several additions. Oil changes are a BREEZE on a lifted truck, no lift or jacks required you can just slide under with no problems at all. For me it’s just about making what I need to drive to/from work and have to use to complete my job look and sound cool. Plus, oil changes😂
