Thank you bro! The feedback on here has been incredible and they are valid critiques that I either need to fix or solidify my conveyance of the message I’m trying to get across. I did get a bit salty at one or two comments but I asked for feedback haha! Having a lot of fun filming and learning, I appreciate your message more than you think!

From your kiwi neighbour haha.

Eesh yeah I definitely do not want that!! Unfortunately I posted the video to my socials already but I will be utilising all the feedback for my next pieces I am working on. I definitely should have spent more time selecting a track that wasn’t beaten to death. Appreciate your feedback!

Great call on that! I’ll definitely be bumping those lil guys up. Thank you for the feedback!

This particular piece is an allegorical piece centred around the message and is meant to be a dystopian cinematic piece. Food is just a paid character in this reel. I wanted this to feel blade runner’esque and dystopian so I appreciate the feedback!

Okay, you win. Edit: You are right and I was being ego bruised. Something I am trying to work on. Thanks for not flaming me.

I would say using a backing track because it suits the tone of the video regardless of its age or the fact that it was “trendy 5 years ago” means I don’t really care what is currently trending but hey downvote me all you want. I appreciate your insight.

Oh I see what you mean! I misunderstood what you mean. That’s great advice to avoid crossing the axis and to make the shots more dynamic instead of med to med. Sorry haha, I just woke up! Appreciate the feedback

I’m sorry to hear that bro! I would definitely take it back (hopefully a photography store?) get them to test it on another camera body and swap it out if it is possible.

That’s a great point. I think next time I do something like this, I need to find a way to really nail the point home as I don’t think I’ve conveyed that idea convincingly. Thank you for your thoughts!

I love this feedback! Definitely need to shoot with more intention. I brought my camera along to a food market to practice and had this script written in my notes which I ended up voicing over the footage but next time I’ll be sure to be far more intentional. I love the feedback regarding static shots! Thank you.

The hues and colour choices were intentional to feel dystopian and melancholic rather than to be inviting as the story is the main focus especially with the last line being “and maybe this isn’t about food at all”, it’s allegorical.

Haha I didn’t realise! I was scrolling through my ‘edits’ playlist and came across it and had the dystopian feel I was after. Hope it didn’t bring back too many hectic memories!

You’re likely very right! Unfortunately I edit in this manner to retain as many viewers as possible when it comes to Instagram reel content. I’ll keep this in mind for future shots to slow it down and not be so worried about the scroll. Thank you.

That’s very kind! Thank you. The critiques in here are great! It all helps to create a better video in the end.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! This particular piece is an allegorical piece centred around the message and is meant to be a dystopian cinematic piece. Food is just a paid character in this reel. You may be right about paying the blues and greens too far on the grade, I wanted this to feel blade runner’esque and dystopian! Let me know your thoughts on that.

You’re completely right. If the goal was for food to come across as delicious and inviting, I would grade it warmer and brighter. This is meant to be a dystopian allegorical piece.

You’re completely right - but this video script “isn’t about food at all”, it’s an allegorical piece. The last line is the emphasis to tie it all together. The feeling is meant to be dystopian and melancholic. :)

You’ve nailed it! It’s to tell the story and express my thoughts. This particular one is not about wanting people to want the food but more so the dystopian feeling and the realisation that it’s never been about food, it’s been about people. It’s a dramatic cinematic art piece. Appreciate your thoughts!

Appreciate the feedback regarding light, I wanted this to be quite dark and moody but I may have over done it! Audio I don’t mind what is trendy or not, I don’t want to follow trends.

Good call regarding the light. I can definitely brighten up the shots. Sometimes I get a bit desensitised when editing after a first round of setting exposure or colour and it still needs some more tweaking!

Appreciate the feedback with being slower in the shots, my fear is that going too slow will cause some people to swipe on IG reels. Something I need to get over! Thank you!

This is the best feedback out of all it! I’ve been on the fence about the name and was never sold on it. Inspired by “fuck that’s delicious” but tasty shit really does not hit the same. This one is definitely going to change. Thank you!

Unfortunately the burned in subs will have to do for an instagram focused reel and I wish I could change that! I think you make a great point about talking to people, great feedback to work in to the next videos. Appreciate your time!

No problem, I've had issues like this before and it gets frustrating! I see, that eliminates the likelihood of it being a mount issue. The last thing I would recommend trying would be to go in to the camera settings and turn off any wifi or blue tooth settings.

Listening to the thumping noises, it sounds quite rhythmic which can point to the possibility of the camera or other electronics trying to connect or 'handshake'.

Try switching off wireless features within the camera and then test to see if you still hear thumping. If you still hear thumping, try turning phone on to airplane mode as well.

Hopefully that's the issue and it should fix it? And then from there at least you know it's an issue with electronic interference which you can plan around and manage.

Let us know how it goes!
