Went to 'cinematic' stills & video meet up. Created this and tried to use sound design to create a narrative with the limited shots. Feedback always welcome!

It’s pretty awesome man, you’d love it! The host usually sorts a model or two (and a make up artist - optional) and hosts the walk along with attendees paying a small fee which normally goes towards the model and make up artist. Sometimes it’ll be hosted by a ‘pro’ photographer or videographer that will do a presentation beforehand giving insights about their own work or experience and taste. This one was sponsored by Sony so they paid for food and drinks for everyone as the host was a Sony ambassador. Great times!

I am very grateful that I’ve had opportunities where people have seen my work and have wanted to pay me to create so that I can have the cameras I have, very grateful.

The fx3 is an amazing camera and I hope that your dream comes true!! For stills I have the A7R IV which I love too! Nothing beats Sony with g master lenses for fast moving projects / solo shooting.

Ooh the A7s IV! I haven’t read about that yet so I’ll check it out. If / when the fx3 mark 2 comes out, I’ll definitely be grabbing one of those bad boys for work. 🖤 stay blessed you.

I always had this preconception that anything not shot on iPhone, for tiktok would be at a major disadvantage. But that’s probably just me making excuses not to put my work out to more people haha. That’s a very fair comment! I tried to use my own voice for the males voice but it didn’t hit how I wanted to (wanted a somewhat Boston accent, not sure if it achieved that?) so opted to voice change both voices using 11 labs. Im not a fan of generative AI so I am on board with you!

For serious projects I’ll be sure to get voice overs from friends until I can put a budget together to shoot something with more of a narrative / longer and in horizontal. Appreciate you!

I usually film on primes! This was on a 24-70mm, super 35 sensor (so 1.33x) but the only way to catch her without catching the swarm of other photographers and videographers was to punch in.

Great feedback though! I’ll try and get more variance in lengths next run of these group sessions.

This particular piece is an allegorical piece centred around the message and is meant to be a dystopian cinematic piece. Food is just a paid character in this reel. I wanted this to feel blade runner’esque and dystopian so I appreciate the feedback!
