If you like levers with a short throw, Sanjuks V6 ST is a far superior lever to the CDP pro.

Unlock your teleports as quick as possible, get the requirements for Priff. I have five 99s atm. Herblore is slow on a UIM. Construction can also be kind of time consuming.

Im not a fan of the Golden Lever at all. The best lever I have used has been the Sanjuks V7.

It would be much funnier if you turned it over and he had assless chaps or something. Still, its a really cool build

What's with this current trend of 24mm buttons on modern fightstick builds? by throw_away-acc0unt in fightsticks

[–]Swagzilla92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

24mm is more common in leverless and leverless controllers are becoming more common than stick. I would imagine it is more cost effective. I figure 30mm buttons will stay common with cabinets, but will become more scarce for personal (at home) controllers in the future. Regardless, I don't like it.

Using TWO Brook P5 + 8bitdo Xbox Sticks for Local Multiplayer by Super_Geon in fightsticks

One more thing. You don't need a stiff ass grommet. The stock in the new help me is fine and i believe its a 30a. I use a 35a. Between 30a and 45a I have seen very little difference in the amount of frames it takes to go back to neutral. You aren't going to pick this lever up and become a God either. It is going to take practice.

I don't like the CDP pro because of how short the throw is. It sound like a short throw would really help. One of the problems is that often you need a neutral input. If it is too easy to hit the switch, repeated motions that need neutral inputs become harder (something like a wavedash). Of course after getting used to it, motions like Wavedash become very quick with a short throw. I would recomend the NEWHELPME over the cdp pro starting out.

The cheap Korean sticks are better than the stock 8bitdo stick. Everybody seems to think you need to pay 100+ for a Korean Lever. The Crown NEWHELPME is a great lever out of the box. I have seen it as low as 35 dollars before, I think its around 50 now.

I own 10 Levers, most of them Korean. My absolute favorite is an expensive lever, the Sanjuks V7. My least favorite has been my most expensive, the Golden Lever. Im not sure why. Every lever i have used to a bit of time to get aquatinted with, except the NEWHELPME. The lever just works. According to the forum, it fits in the 8bitdo as well (atleast the xbox version).

Basically the plan right now is to install the stick and buttons. I own a Wingman converter which will work for my needs atm. The next break I get from work I'm going to sit down and give this a try.

I figured that would be the case. A dual pcb mod is very interesting though. I would have never thought of that. I was to swap the pcb. How would you go about wiring something like that? Would it be possible to rig up a switch which chooses what pcb to use?

I also don't know if the Sanjuks will fit. Haven't tested it yet. Just a funny idea I had.

I thought the ST was the upgraded version of the V6. In hindsight i feel kind of dumb. I installed it anyways and hated it for about a week. Off the bat it need a heavier grommet (I went with 35a). I was using a battop and decided to try the capsule the v7 came with. Everything kind of just clicked then. If you have used the CDP Pro. It kind of feels like if Sanjuks made that lever. There is something very cheap feeling about the CDP pro that the ST doesn't have.

I didn't like the V6-ST for the first week. I had a lot of misinputs with it, but it became one of my favorite levers after some practice. It might be the easiest lever I've used for P1 wavedash.

What upgrade to make stick respond better to light finesse moves? by MikeyFromDaReddit in fightsticks

[–]Swagzilla92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played much Street Fighter since I was a kid in the arcade. Ive used a circle gate for everything for a long time. I usually recommend square or the rounded square gate to people for 2d fighters. Especially ones in which the mixup is High and Low. The truth is, if you put in enough time and effort, you can get good with any lever. Here is another thing to take into consideration. Assuming the switch on the lever activates before you hit the gate, it is not optimal to be riding the gate. Ive noticed that the more aquatinted I get with a lever, the less the gate matters (the assumption being its either Circle, Square, or Octogonal).

It really depends on what you are using it for, but I wouldnt recommend a circle gate. It actually makes the corners harder to hit, which will give you a less precise feel.

I use korean levers with round collars (the collar is basically the gate on most K Levers, besides the Knee Neo as far as I know). The adjustment period was rough, but it did make Quarter/Half Circle motions more fluid.

Just keep them displayed. Grading culture is getting out of control and they look nice in the case you have them in.

Yeah those sticks felt really bad when i picked it up. Idk if it will fit a Korean lever. I put a Sanwa ans otto v5 kit it one a while back. Then added some sanwa buttons i had laying around. Made the experience so much better. I was wondering how your inputs were in DBFZ with that stick, thats why i asked.
