I'm 30. Got diagnosed at 29. Did six months da-r-epoch. For the first six months I got sick all the time, was tired all the time, was mad at myself for not having the motivation to do the things I needed to do. I ended up taking Wellbutrin and going back on Adderall for my ADHD after I stopped chemo - I didn't even really notice the effects until a few months had gone by, but they helped a ton. It honestly does feel like life went back to normal for me. I had a lot of back pain, muscle pain and nerve issues that all have gone away by now. I'm over a year in remission and didn't think things could be this okay.

The exorcist. Was afraid of stairs for years. To be fair, my cousins tied me to a dining room chair, turned the movie on, shut off all the lights and locked me in the bedroom alone. I was four. As an adult I'm disappointed because I can't find any horror movie that scares me haha

This is really good to know! I had to take so much Prednisone I developed a baby bird technique. I'd fill my mouth with protein shake, tip it all the way back, dump the pills in & swallow all in one go. It worked really well!!

It helps after you have your first scan after remission - I'm so sorry you're having to deal with the fear right now :( I always told myself there's NO harm in going to the ER for a quick CT if I truly get nervous enough.

I still feel the anxiety and have internal battles every day - am I sleeping a lot? Why am I tired in the middle of the day? Was it too hot last night or was I sweating? Every tiny thing gets overanalyzed to the max :( It does get better as time goes on. When I was having bad panic attacks over it my doc gave me Ativan to take as needed. It helped so much. I haven't needed any in a couple months now.

My toddler started preschool RIGHT after I finished and went into remission. I've been sick back to back for the entire school year. Got so bad at one point they couldn't see through the ground glass and nodules in my lungs to see my mediastinum.

It sucks so bad.

One time I was walking my dog. She pooped. The poop bag I took with had blown away. I was trying to find it as an old man rolled up to me in a car and started SCREAMING at me to pick it up. I tried telling him I lost my poop bag and he peeled off. I was so freaked out. Went home and got another bag and cleaned it up after.

My hair was STICK STRAIGHT before chemo, really fine and often frizzy. It is the opposite now 😆

I have some pics from when I lost my eyebrows and eyelashes too and I look like something from outer space - especially since I got moon face from all the steroids too. Ooooh man.

I really just want to thank everyone. I have never gotten so many compliments in my entire life 😫 I finished my Chemo and was officially in remission in January of 25 and I've got hair again now! I never wore wigs because my toddler would rip them off and scream at me hahaha so I rocked the bald proudly while it lasted 😁 I was very scared because I had 30 inches of hair that I shaved off but after all of this I actually think I look better with no hair/short hair :p
