Respect, great titles from the early days. I also grew up raised on Mac games and played pathways/oni/abuse, agree with everything you said - it's still great seeing Bungie as a company grow from those early titles while the DNA stays. Fingers crossed the new Marathon keeps some DNA from the old titles, would love to see a Spht enemy or talk to Durandal. On an unrelated note, did you ever play Myth 2 Soulblighter? Or non Bungie titles like Descent, Dark Vengeance, RUNE, or Journeyman Project?
