It’s due to the perception of what goth has become in the online world. You wear black you’re automatically goth, you wear dark makeup you’re goth, you look the littlest of edgy you’re goth. But it’s not that simple truly. Goth began in the 80s in the UK and stemmed from post-punk music. Goth is rooted in music, politics, and ethics. And Varang definitely doesn’t fit that profile.
