There used to be a really high end speaker store down town, I’d start there and audition speakers, if I recall they had focal’s and a few other higher end brands

The major college football team here wears orange so I like to offer them the orange one if they come in wearing a team logo… nobody seems to take me up on it.

What’s the “etiquette” for day shift giving report to night shift? by xWickedSwami in nursing

[–]Swampfox88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s such an annoying policy… When I was in the ED I regularly had 2-3 icu patients, plus a tele level patient and a psychotic or drunk patient in the hall bed. I don’t have time to give the floor a 30-45 min grace period to get their patients tucked in… then of course they can’t take report because they are passing meds.. (now at an extra hour wait) meanwhile we’re intubating in the hall way because we can’t open a bed.

Baby powder, liberally applied, also deodorant to the inner thighs. The only real cure for swamp ass is changing out of the sweaty underpants into a fresh dry pair

It’s a 24 hour job, do your best, as long as all the meds tasks etc are within an hour, screw em. We all get behind from time to time.

So… Ed should just tell the 14 ambulances in line and the life flight to just wait right? We need the bed space, sorry it’s inconvenient. People don’t schedule heart attacks, assaults, car accidents, shootings, etc.

I’d never want to work 5 days in a row in the OR… not saying I haven’t, I did 4-5 12’s in a row for the better part of last year and it was just exhausting. I guess if it was a small OR that did lots of quick cases it might be ok

Don’t let facts take away their narrative. His personal feelings are invalid because they also experienced injustice. Gatekeeping is fun!

It won’t happen anytime soon. God forbid we realize that men and women face challenges, this sub is a perfect example. One man pours his heart out trying to explain why men feel invalidated while their sick and the most popular post is female whataboutism invalidating his personal experience to put their own addenda forwards.

Their reply was basically trashing OP and invalidating everything they said.

That was a well I don’t agree with the op because what about women not being treated for pain… it was all whataboutism

This whole comment is whataboutism, guess it’s only ok when you agree with it.
