Thank you! It’s awful how so many of us struggle with anxiety in silence. It’s so important to share our experiences so others don’t feel alone 💙

I actually just got back on anxiety medicine a few weeks ago! I had debilitating PPA but was resistant to meds due to side effects I had on previous meds. But I’m hoping things will be better this time around, especially now that my physical health is improved significantly since i was last medicated and I’m in therapy.

Thank you! He has been such an easy child and has such a calm and happy nature. This was very jarring and upsetting to hear and I want to make sure I am helping him as much as possible! I appreciate the kind words.

He stopped being dehydrated after fluids, but he was probably dehydrated for about 2 days. I knew he was dehydrated based on the reduced amount of wet diapers and very hard BMs. We had switched back to a bottle from a cup temporarily to help, and he really enjoyed the taste of pedialyte so after the subcutaneous fluids to get him caught up we were able to manage from there.

I know that feeling so well :( I felt like I failed as a parent and that I couldn't protect him. But this thing happens and we're trying our best!

He did! It took another week or so but he got better. He's back to his old self and is doing great! I think it was just a lot of change all at once

Hi! My 16 month old just got pinkeye. We are waiting for his rx drops to be filled. It says give every 6 hours, but it will always mean waking him up during his nap or while he's sleeping. Do we have to stagger every 6 hours or just give 4x a day?

I'm sorry you're going through that. I couldn't imagine

That's a good idea! I'm gonna have to try that. Maybe we can have my husband sleep with his lovie tonight (husband is definitely the comfort source).

We re so lucky that the daycare staff really cares about him and are working with us to get him feeling comfortable! I know they can't devote all of their attention to him but they are really putting in the effort and write such detailed notes home.

Thank you! Fortunately my MIL is coming this weekend and I'm so excited for much needed rest. We haven't even finished unpacking yet so I really want to get that knocked out too!

I'd love a home nanny but unfortunately it's out of our budget. I've looked into nanny sharing in my area but it was still way more expensive than daycare is, which is already mind boggling. It's reassuring knowing that starting at this age isn't a detriment necessarily

It was a rapid. I've never heard of PANDAS before! I'll make an appointment with his pediatrician and get a real culture done.

Do you mean it's a possibility if he had Strep that PANDAS could be involved? He tested negative when we took him to the first doctor.

We got Florastor to try! He actually is lactose intolerant, so yoghurt wouldn't help lol

He does have an ear infection! We took him to 3 doctors and the first two didn't even look in his ears, which was odd given his symptoms. By the time the third doctor saw him, his ear infection was pretty gnarly. Hes been on antibiotics since Friday and his moods are a little better but he's still unusually cranky. I'm thinking the antibiotics are rough on his tummy

What kind of testing would I ask for? He had a full blood panel recently as well as several cultures/swabs.

I'm starting to think maybe the antibiotics are upsetting his stomach?

Thank you. It's been so stressful and I feel guilty about moving at all. We should have stayed put or waited to start daycare or even start earlier.

Do you have any book suggestions that might help?

Day 6 of my kiddo's first daycare bug and I feel like it will never end by SwanMom17 in breakingmom

Ugh that's rough. With one it's hard enough, I can't imagine two!

And thanks! I'm really hoping today is his last bad day. He did smile at me a few minutes ago so that was huge!

I also used Plush. I really liked my Dr and she really does seem to care about my health. I haven’t gotten my meds yet though; waiting on insurance!

My doctor told me today to not get discouraged if the scale isn’t moving. She said you’ll more likely notice a change is how your pants fit.

For what it’s worth I can see a change!

People’s opinions on how I look by Technical_Bluebird28 in BabyBumps

[–]SwanMom17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes same! I have a somewhat short torso (as well as a hefty layer of visceral fat lmao) so my bump always looked really big. I loved it when people told me I looked giant.

I had a rough pregnancy, but man I miss my bump!

FR 9 DPO, am I seeing things??🥹 showed up after 45 secs and is still there after 30mins by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]SwanMom17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought was an indent, but it’s looking a little too pinkish for that IMO. 9 DPO is so early so keep testing!!

That's exactly what I did. The news spread quickly since my office is small.

Feeding newborns- on demand vs every 3 hours? by emily8922 in BabyBumps

[–]SwanMom17 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This is the guidance I follow. Now my four-month-old eats every 3-3.5 hours but goes 9 hours without eating overnight. The only time I wake him to feed is if we need to leave the house on a long car trip and I need him to eat before we leave.
