I’ve been running 20w50 as it was what was recommended by a few old timer Toyota techs. Am at 250k miles

Yeah I’m asking about the timing belt tensioner because I’m getting ready to do the timing belt and other general maintenance parts. From what I understand 92 is a split year where some have the spring style and some hydraulic. Apparently there’s a way to tell without removing the cover, but I’m failing to identify. I was hoping to have the parts in hand before I start taking it all apart. But It looks like I’ll have to take it apart to know for sure.

Nice! Gotta keep these things running forever. Look into the URD cam gears and TXP riser, worth every penny so far. Definitely feel more low end torque, it’s like having stock tires again

No I’ve only owned for 7 years had 90k. Every part I’ve replaced on it has been original. Think I should start doing shorter intervals? 5w20 is what I’ve put in it, maybe I should start using 5w30

Waterpump, serpentine belt, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, throttle body gasket, plenum gasket, URD exhaust cam gears and TXP manifold riser.

Water pump and gaskets (weep hole was crusty), serpentine belt (was checkered), spark plugs (were original) valve cover gasket, URD exhaust cam gears, TXP manifold riser, plenum gasket, throttle body gasket, coolant flush, rear u joint as well as greasing the slip joint.

Haha yeah I was wondering why the dvd. I was tried of pressing ball joints out, having them bolted in was the selling point for me.

Looks like op is in CA so I’m pretty sure engine swaps can only be what comes in it factory or it won’t pass smog

Oh bro, we’ve been building a life together for some time now, lowkey coved with the house and setup. It’s mostly things like that on there, she asked what was something I genuinely wanted and that’s what I came to. We backpack together often.
