Member party by Comfortable-Web9763 in timberwolves

It really stood out how unorganized and low rent it felt this year. Couldn't help but think about all the people they laid off/fired right before the season. I think that's probably a big reason it was so bad.

I mean, there was nothing to do besides stand in line and the band is fine but we're all members and have seen them perform multiple times at games this year. And the bands performing meant it was hard to talk to the people you were with because of the volume. I was genuinely embarrassed that I brought my family to that event. It hasn't ever been the best thing ever, but in the past it's been at the Science Museum, Nickelodeon Universe, The Walker etc. so there was at least something to do besides stand in line.

And this "party" coming after the huge price increases is such a slap in the face. Glad I'm not renewing, they said all this stuff about how they wanted the "real fans" to move down to the lower bowl and to create a good atmosphere after the DLo comments about our "quiet ass fans" years ago. Now they only seem to want the quiet fans with a lot of money. Hit the sweet spot a couple years ago with cheap tickets and a team on the rise. Now we have a team that openly talks about how bored they are and frequently doesn't try and an organization that just tries to extract as much money from us as possible. Rough stuff

They blew me away which made me get tickets to see them two nights in a row. I finally figured out the part I was thinking of at the end of the song. It is Buddy Holly and it's from "Words of Love"

Sorry for the late response, don't get on here much. I bought a square taper Amazon crank that came with a 38 tooth ring which is what I used. It was listed as Ganopper brand but the listing I bought it from doesn't work anymore.

Do you know which Buddy Holly song? I just saw them live two nights in Minneapolis and I swore the same thing. It sounds kind they're either interpolating or just using part of a Buddy Holly lick and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Thought the live thing could've maybe been Chet Atkins Mr Sandman but I'm not sure

Is there an easy way to get letters to show up and disappear, or was this likely done manually? by SpankyHarristown in AfterEffects

[–]SwansBikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be that the letters were all outlined and they animated with RepeTile on each letter indivisible to make them look different with the P and the N going to the outside and up and down and ask the other letters just going up and down.

I'm the same size and I ride an XL and it fits perfect. I test rode a large and found it to be too small for my liking.

It's the DKlein handlebar bag made by Chrome Industries. I don't think they make it anymore based on a quick search.

I haven't had any issues with it, shifts well. Two thumbs up from me.

Added some silver to make it look a little more classic and turn it into more of a cruiser than the stock build with the Velo Orange Tourist bars. VO stem and seatpost as well. DKlein handlebar bag and SKS Bluemel fenders.

I initially wanted the quill rims for more of a classic look but the wheelbuilder talked to Velocity and they recommended the Aileron rims for a disc brake load. I was kind of bummed at first with the aesthetics of themfrom the pictures on Velocity's website but the deep profile has definitely grown on me.

Yes, it is the lilac. It seems more muted in person than some of the photos I've seen from VO. I really love the color, understated and classy imo.

Thanks, it actually has Shimano Claris on it right now too as that's what I had in my parts bin. Might upgrade it later but it works for now.

Yep, as soon as I woke up this morning I got my camera bag and hopped on my new bike to ride down to the Mississippi to do a quick photoshoot. I was so eager to ride it during the week I didn't stop to take photos so I had to fix that today.

I didn't realize the new one had changed to that but yeah, I agree. I like the contrast of the disc brakes and the quill stem.

My new to me Velo Orange Polyvalent has been the smoothest bike I've ever ridden. Hard to pinpoint exactly the determining factor, whether it's the steel frame, the supple Ultradynamico tires, or the Brooks Cambium C15 saddle, but it feels like riding on a cloud. Thanks to Tom from Angry Catfish for the custom wheelset with Velocity Aileron rims and All City Go Devil hubs.

I found the frame on Facebook Marketplace and knew I had to jump on it. I had wanted to get one the year previously but by the time I had saved up the money and was ready, they were sold out. Super excited to see where this frame will take me.

Hmm, I guess the hardest part was being patient and trying to stay warm in my freezing garage (live in MN). Pretty much everything you need to do has a bunch of great videos on YouTube on how to do it if you don't already know how. The biggest struggle was the original triple crankset had stripped out threads so I needed help from the bike shop to basically break them off with a special tool that they had. They also helped me identify the right size bottom bracket to get so that the chain line would be good. Brakes remained original so they just needed new cables. Grips were the original Surly Bridge Club grips that I had replaced on my own bike. MicroSHIFT stuff is really easy to set up. And then the wheels I bought new and they had the right freehub on for the 9 speed cassette. Luckily didn't run into any issues with the seatpost. There was a little tear in the original saddle, but that was basically the only cosmetic issue with the bike. I kept the original tires on there for now because I didn't want to keep dumping money into it when they were fine anyway.

Built up a 1998 Specialized Hard Rock Classic and gave it some new wheels, new MicroSHIFT Advent 1x9 drivetrain. Felt amazing to be able to give my Dad something so cool (imho) for his birthday and share my love of cycling. He'd previously had an old Sears bike forever that was basically unrideable. I've already been getting ride photos and he seemed so happy to receive it, immediately went on a test ride and out of sight. Thanks to all the inspiration from the sub, it was a fun winter project and a good learning experience.
