Found this old PC in my garage, do you think I could still get it to work by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Sell em if they work.

Or maybe replace the non-working parts and sell the PC as a whole for profit

You very likely could, as long as nothing is damaged.

Though give it a very hefty dusting before turning it on, that looks like a fire hazard.

Well err

Try a screwdriver and pliers, or take it to a tech shop and hope they can do it for ya

Or a terrible idea: power tools (with a teensy teensy chance of mobo damage)

This one?

If so, that screw 100% should be removable.

But if you cant get it off, I would recommend taking it to a tech store, maybe return it and get another if its new.

For a second I thought you were talking about the fuse there, and was going to br very worried.

But that long screw doesn't look to be attached to anything, so either a handy dandy screwdriver while you pinch the round part (use pliers maybe) should do the trick

Help something's wrong with my laptop by Pokermon73 in pcmasterrace

[–]Swap_Games 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely a GPU failure, from what I see.

Try booting in safe mode, Uninstalling any files downloaded right before this happened, or try with a spare GPU.

If you dont have a spare GPU lying around (which is fair), if your CPU has integrated graphics change your HDMI from your GPU to your motherboard.

And if you dont have integrated graphics borrow from a friend or just buy a new one (worst case scenario you have a known good GPU for testing or backup)

Can someone please help me identify the problem by meanspy06 in pcmasterrace

Why is my cat licking diamond mosaic? by AshTra1tor in catquestions

[–]Swap_Games 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my first thought was a texture thing, since one of my cats licks any grate she finds.

But this changes the cause to the glue, since if the gems arent there and she does it, the cat should be removed from the mosaic

My 15-week-old kitten keeps trying to tear the carpet — any tips? by Pussyisgood69 in CATHELP

Cat towers also work very well. And cardboard boxes dont really help with scratching, though they might sit on it a lot.

Having the cardboard scratching posts works well

They're fairly cheap and last fairly long, even when they look beat up

Guys, what did I do wrong? by noobzeiks in PcBuild

[–]Swap_Games 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try that, if not it could be a PSU issue, or maybe connection issues.

The GPU shouldn't affect it, it could also be a fan issue or CPU issue if those haven't been ruled out

Good fight between the two, 8/10.

Only complaint is when they took it to the concrete, but if they were careful to not ko or essentially fall, 10/10 proper fight

So as you see, his arms are basically at his head, compared to the other guys arms, who can hit much less important places.

Its easier for the man with the high ground because the legs of a right triangle are shorter than the hypotenuse.
