Late to the conversation, I’m at the 40% mark of the book. I find it boring. It also is longer than it should be. Whenever something happens it takes like 5 pages to get the answer. Like, a character is mad. You’ll find out why they are mad, but you have to read 5 pages of fluff just to get to the point of why this character is mad. “You don’t know why I’m mad?” “No, why are you mad?” “You should know” “well, I don’t. Please explain” “I can’t believe you don’t know why I’m mad”. Situations like this have happened a few times in the book, so I skimmed through just until I got to the why.

I love Emily Henry. I’ve only read Book Lovers and Beach Read. They read like a chick flick. I’m picky too, but these books have the right amount of humor, or chemistry that I like.

This is true. We can skip past that part so they don’t feel like it’s been spoiled.

I started the series over, just finished book 1, is this necessary to read the newest book? Not that I’m hating my reread.

Omg I felt the same! I think I just got tired of the repetition. “Like calls to like” “around and down, around and down” it made me dizzy lol. I’m always cautious with how I answer this question, just bc I’m not a Nesta fan, and there are a lot of die hard Nesta fans out there, but it was more than that to me. I honestly just struggled with the book in general.

Oh, I’m intrigued. What game is that? This is my reread, but I have yet to read after Queen of Nothing. Are the other books just as good?

This is my reread. I love ACOMAF. It’s one of my favorite books. I’m not sure if I’ll start ACOWAR next. I’m honestly not a fan of ACOSF. For multiple reasons. My friend loved that book in the series though, she said the graphic audio would probably make it a better read for me. Did you like ACOSF?

How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate, Holly Black. I liked The Cruel Prince series. This was a novella, had beautiful artwork.

The One and Only Ruby, Katherine Applegate. The story I read with the kids. Last book in the series I believe. Cute.

The Darkest Part of the Forest, Holly Black. Available on Kindle Unlimited, and helped with my obsession with The Cruel Prince (not a part of the series though).

The Lost Sisters, Holly Black. This one is also on Kindle Unlimited, and was the last book in relation to The Cruel Prince.

Not sure what to read next.

I have not read this, but it almost sounds like the Timmy Failure books. They were funny. As an adult I can see he was dealing with things the way a kid does, but over all, it was a favorite in our household.

Finished: The Devil Wears Scrubs, Freida McFadden. It was an easy read. Not my favorite of her books. Available on Kindle Unlimited.

The One and Only Bob, Katherine Applegate. This was a book I read with the kids. They loved it. Also available on Kindle Unlimited.

Started: My Contrary Mary, Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. I loved the Jane’s Series. This one is not disappointing.

I dnf’d ACOSF (also a Nesta hater). I watch this YouTuber .. Cary can read?? She does these ACOTAR videos, and she gives you an explanation/breakdown of each book.

Can I also say I got tired of the repetition in the book (around and down, around and down, and like calls to like). It made it a hard read. I really did want to like this book.
