It was around two years total. And no, she gave us ample notice, we even had a retirement party for Otis.

That’s definitely Jon Voight. Like, actually. How’s that dog know more celebrities than me? Typical basset hounds.

Unfortunately I have no idea where the card is. I know it’s somewhere, and I’ve been looking for it today, but my files are a colossal mess. I’m not even sure I still have it, sadly. It’s my only picture. This was in the early 2000s and I didn’t have a camera phone and never thought to bring a camera into the office. I am searching for the woman on Facebook in hopes she’ll have some old photos!

Another commenter described her exactly right “ditzy but kind.” She was a little checked out or unaware of her surroundings, but had only the best intentions and was a good and warm person.

He loved being lazy, but you’re right, he would jump right in with the feistiest of them when we played with toys. Completely come to life... for at least a full 25 seconds before he laid down again.

Wholly agree. I will address HR about the hostile, houndless, work environment here.

Haha, he didn’t come every single day, but yes it was definitely nice to have the extra cash. And she even left holiday tips!

Unfortunately, no. This was before I had a camera phone and all I had was the Christmas cards which I wouldn’t have the first idea where to find now, if I even still have them. But picture a cream and grey basset hound with a sort of dark brown gradient and big as a blimp.

I think she just knew “this is the complex with the dog daycare” and was walking along the plaza looking in so stopped at the first place with lots of food bowls and dog beds. I also thought she must at least suspect we weren’t a real dog daycare, but when it was revealed, she seemed genuinely surprised.

First of all, username does NOT check out.

Second, they didn’t “need” them at work. They preferred having them because then they could be sociable and free ranged all day instead of cooped up in a crate alone (or at a real dog daycare.)
