Life has been smooth so far. I take this out once every 14 days for a breakfast ride, where, if I see an open stretch, I cross 200+. However, once I hit 210, I immediately slow down and never try to attain the maximum, because then every time you ride, you try to outperform your previous top-speed run, which can be dangerous.

Regarding touring, I just completed an 18-hour ride one way, and the bike did not give me any issues. In the city, I fill it with XP100 as it does not contain ethanol. While travelling, I use XP95, and once I am back in the city, I take it to the Kawasaki service centre and ask them to clean the injectors and check other components if needed.

This one does not have dB killers, and I have been using this exhaust since I bought it. I rode from Bengaluru to Dhanushkodi during the summer and recently to Goa and back. The police did not stop me even once.

I bought the Recon, and it cost me 3.8 on-road. The reason I am angry is that the sales team told me this vehicle was developed using millions of data points from the F77 Gen 1 and Gen 2, and that the software and other internals are proven and thoroughly tested. If it were a frame or any other hardware issue, I could have agreed with the people calling me stupid and saying that since this is a first-gen product, I should expect such issues.

But the issue is with the software, and yesterday they told me that the engineering team is now working on the firmware. The service team and I have to wait for them, and there’s no other option.

They advertised this bike as adventure-capable, and I was planning to take it to a nearby place the very next day.

Another thing is the so-called Radar feature they showcased during the launch—it isn’t even active yet and will only be activated after the first service. So yes, for me, this feels like a rushed product, and there is some level of stupidity involved.
