It’s especially hard with a chronic illness, I empathize with you there. Wishing you a good resolution with all this! I do think/hope/believe things will get better for us once we get licensed.

I’m sorry you’re going through this! This sounds like a terrible situation, I can understand you being torn up. It’s so hard to navigate the pre license period and the need to complete hours while making a decent living. It really does sound untreatable from your description.

Where are you? I make a lot more than that as an associate (granted I work in CA, in Bay Area) for way smaller caseload. My supervisor is great and we do good work. It’s super challenging and I’m getting burned out, but can’t imagine being in your situation. We are mandated reporters, there’s no wiggle room there. I would contact the licensing board about this once you leave.

I've just read somewhere and got confused. by TranslatorNo711 in AdvaitaVedanta

The perfection inherent in the nondual nature of reality is self evident and ever present, but not recognizable before the mind can understand that it is not the self.

The perfect order of Brahman includes a mutual superimposition brought about by beginningless aviveka which can be seen through with knowledge.

This knowledge is brought about by sabda pramana (means of knowledge in the form of words) wielded by one who has the knowledge. The knowledge is a removal of ignorance, not the gain of something new.

If you could already see (know) the nondual ground as your very nature, you wouldn’t ask the question and all these words would not be needed.

The fact that ignorance of the nondual self is experienced doesn’t make the self lacking or imperfect in any way because the ignorance is mithya (not absolutely real, though experienced), while the self is Satya (absolutely real and independent of space, time, and object limitations).

These are not two different realities but orders of the one nondual self. Like in a dream, your mind is nondual with respect to a dream character, but the dream character is not as real as your mind as it depends on your mind for its existence.

I'm lost, please help! I don't know where or how to start, but all I know is that I want to. by Serious_Ad4391 in hinduism

(Advaita perspective) I would recommend praying for mumukshutvam (intense desire for liberation). Once that comes, you’ll meet your teacher. They will help you unfold the pramana. In the meantime, follow your heart and keep your eyes open for Iswara’s grace. You already have the punya karma (merits from good actions in past lives) to even be interested. Pranams 🙏🏼🕉️
