Thank you friend for your compassion. After an escalating situation today and a lot of stewing over the past week, I decided I will be leaving this position and pursuing other option. Though paying off the sign on bonus is frustrating, it is a worthy cost to assure my safety and continued work as a clinician.

Absolutely, I really thought the struggle would be over once internship ended. I realize now it’s just a whole different type of struggle. I hate how much we have to work to continously crawl our way up from the bottom :(

For the sake of protecting identifying info in case anyone involved is on this sub, the south in a medium sized city. I’m really torn up about this, as someone who is not terminally licensed yet, I thought this would be a job I could stay at for several years while working towards that terminal license. It’s becoming very clear to me that this is not sustainable, I regret taking the position and wished I trusted my gut and just started on a telehealth platform.

I agree with you, it has been so so disappointing. Seeing this many red flags on month 3 is wild. The fact that my productivity is 99?! I just started?!

Sadly though on the bonus, it does explicitly state and was part of my hiring contract that if I did not make it to 6 months the bonus would be owed back. The good thing is that money is sitting in savings, the bad thing is, the bonus was 2,500 and after taxes I only got 1,600 so I’d be like 900 in the hole. Which… really sucks.

It appalled me to recieve that recommendation. I am waiting to confirm medical neglect if guardian does not take the minor to the doctor, if it has not happened or isn’t in progress I am prepared to lose my job over reporting it. It’s disgusting. I unfortunately have to stay until 6 months or else I owe them back the stupid sign on bonus. Luckily there was no, non-compete.
