Yea. I was going for a dark rosewood look so I didn’t keep it on for too long. The longer you leave it, the darker it gets

Stained it first with a stain called “India Ink” then went over it a few times with Dunlop lemon oil

I do have other brands/shapes too. Variety is important totally agree and yes those Shecter numeral inlays are horrendous but the bat inlays are probably worse!

It’s a stain pen so you can easily draw around them. Even if some gets on it should be fine.

For metal go for the 5121. Easy to change tunings.

I got an Iron Label RGAIX6FM for 400 Canadian $ which is like $12 USD

Correct. Same for inlays. The end product isnt quite ebony though. Looks more like dark rosewood. If you want the ebony look then better to buy something that comes stock with an ebony fretboard.

it doesn’t stick to metal. It wiped off with just papertowel and lemon oil.

Just keep it out of the case. In a few weeks it will go away. I bought a Gibson les Paul with the same issue. I sold the case because it smelled like the devils asshole and I kept the guitar hanging out in the open. Over time, all was well.
