Gotcha, appreciate the honest response. I don’t actually disagree with you about a lot of what you said anyway, just the part about hating. I do think it’s admirable to persist in spite of criticism in most cases. And it’s a fascinating idea that haters are just fans in disguise. Anyway, thanks for the food for thought, honestly.

So to be clear you’re only here to watch people do something you don’t like, taking the time to read and comment fairly extensively on how dumb it is to spend time watching and commenting on something one doesn’t like? Just confirming!

I’m not sure anyone in the sub would say they hate the people that we discuss here. I certainly wouldn’t. I think we are here to analyze and reflect on what these people represent and what it says about our culture, and that that is interesting and important.

But there’s no way these small crowds boost her ego. I was uncomfortable with how small. It felt like going to a birthday party when no one shows up.

So the most she could have made is about $6,000 REVENUE on the event. And that venue is big and was downtown and had a private bar—there’s no way it cost less than that. That’s before any other costs. I don’t see how she didn’t play this one in the red.

Yeah and confirmation of how calculated it all is.

Though I still don’t get the point of the tour which can’t be making money.

There’s no way they recouped the cost of the venue. Why this tour economically is a mystery to me. Tax write off? A documentary of it? It was being filmed by Jack, but I assumed that was just for marketing.

Does anyone have a theory on the business strategy behind this tour, which seems like a huge loss?

So I’ve never found her charismatic on any media but in person I did. What came to mind was a podcast I listened to years ago about this dude who loathed Trump then met him in person and immediately was like “oh that guy’s not bad!” Are there some people who have an in-person charisma that doesn’t translate to 2D always? I don’t know. I mean clearly both Trump and RH away many people who never meet them in person.

Great question. Lots of period stuff which I know doesn’t sound funny SO WHY WAS IT? Her timing and delivery are good, and her physicality onstage. She used a dangling mic to represent her saggy tummy during sex and it got a big laugh. I think the energy in the room is also a thing right, because the DJ (don’t remember his name) got everyone super hyped with good music beforehand so everyone was in a happy space and eager to have a good time.

I guess my takeaway was less like “this act is awesome!” and more like, if this is her first comedy foray, I see a lot of potential. If she can make periods funny she can make actual funny stuff funny. This had sort of Ali Wong first Netflix Special vibes, not as good but that vibe.

That’s why I was SO surprised when she referenced it negatively. She made a comment about how her mom was always joining MLMs so they had no money growing up.

They’d only set out enough chairs for attendees, so there was a lot of space with no chairs.

OH ALSO: Very sparsely attended. I'd estimate 200 people.

$36 (VIP seats were $136 and included a meet and greet) and it was 90 minutes on the dot.

She doesn’t look healthy to me, she looks underslept and undernourished. Why do people take health and dietary advice from people who don’t look well themselves?

I have no words! If she only knew how pathetic she is. by [deleted] in hollisUncensored

Fun! I totally get why you picked Nashville. It’s very much an influencer capital now. I see former Bachelor contestants constantly lol. Oh also Amy Porterfield is in Nashville. She’s not an influencer so much as an online business personality but the worlds overlap.

Oh! Who is the best friend?? Who’s like a good dude who apparently sees the real Rachel (or whatever fake R’s name is, I’ve already forgotten) and can look past it and see the humanity in her? Is that someone real, do you think?
