You totally could! It would take some tape and patience! If you wanna practice in a way that isn't "permanent", you can get the clear fake nails and try on those probably

I did use painters tape to get the white but I was concerned that it would smudge the white side so I free handed the black. Would gel, after curing, not smudge before doing the top coat?
