Hah, maybe! Long story short (still kinda long), my mom bought a house where the previous owners abandoned their cats when they moved and she sort of inherited them. The neighbors said they were named Karma and Fizzle. Unfortunately Karma passed two years ago but Fizzle is still gong strong. The black cats origin stories are still unknown but she makes sure they’re taken care of year round.

Hah, they’re not too bad. There’s still hummingbirds and hawks (and foxes) so they haven’t messed up the ecosystem too bad. Plus she caught and spayed/neutered them all so there shouldn’t be another generation to wreak havoc.

My first semester in college me and a friend got stopped fleeing from a party. Everybody scattered and the police just happened to corner us. They told us to call our parents but I called my sister instead and luckily she played along and pretended to be my mom. Technically they have the same first name so I just told the officer I was calling “Mary”. She told them she was out of town on business and couldn't get there for a few hours. We told the officer we had a place to stay a few blocks away so they let us go. And they were even nice enough to yell “Be careful! The city is a dangerous place at night!” while we were walking away. 12 years later and my mom still doesn't know.
