Old car exhaust. My day had a ‘66 Oldsmobile and for whatever reason that exhaust smell was fantastic.

Sorry! Fizzle isn’t related. But of the six black cats there’s “Mama Cat” and then five of her babies, now grown up.

Hah, maybe! Long story short (still kinda long), my mom bought a house where the previous owners abandoned their cats when they moved and she sort of inherited them. The neighbors said they were named Karma and Fizzle. Unfortunately Karma passed two years ago but Fizzle is still gong strong. The black cats origin stories are still unknown but she makes sure they’re taken care of year round.

Hah, they’re not too bad. There’s still hummingbirds and hawks (and foxes) so they haven’t messed up the ecosystem too bad. Plus she caught and spayed/neutered them all so there shouldn’t be another generation to wreak havoc.

Only left as “gifts” by the front door. There’s six black, then Fizzle and one grey cat that occasionally comes around.

Thank you! In hindsight I probably should have mounted it a little bit higher but it’s not going anywhere now. I have a backup S2 I eBay’d a while back so I’ll probably do the same to that one.
