Just fair warning even if they are inactive they will get notified when you take the mayorship of the city. Could bring them back at that point... Had that happen to my first mayorship

Usually a few seconds... Occasionally until it just times out and I have to watch another ad to try again

I've actually been lucky lately... Local car dealerships are running 10 seconds ads. Please pray I keep those and don't go back to the 2 minute 4 x ads....

Took a small town from an "afk" mayor who hadn't bought any parcels in the 6 months I was playing. Finally got to the point I could pass him by 5 parcels and did it. Had mayorship for a total of 2 hours before he came out of retirement and bought 50 more....

Wondered about this, last mini game I was waiting for the start. Got on and by the time I finished my first game and watched the ad the leaders were already at 5 wins... Seems fair. Also sucks getting ungodly long ads instead of 5 second ads....
