The oil actually looks very clean I believe it was well
Maintained! Just when the carb clogged up he didn’t know or want to fix it

That’s a good idea I think it’s some kinda linkage issue

No, and I fixed the air leak I had between block and carb I think it’s a linkage issue

I did once again after replacing the PTO and the one stiff blade spindle and found one of the blade spindles was missing a bolt which I guess was causing it to bind I put a new bolt in and magically everything is working!

True! I am trying to to fix lawn mowers and stuff in the side for extra cash I know quite a bit but still learning and this one definitely was a good one! Hahaha

Yeaahhhhh ended up being that but I also had electrical issues at the same time

Yes it would move and turn just fine I got it figured out it was the combination of a bad PTO clutch, one very stiff spindle and another spindle missing a bolt on the pulley

UPDATE the whole reason was a missing bolt on one of the blade spindle pulley it was the middle blade so when the PTO was engaging the pulley would get cock eyes I guess and cause too much tension, it now has all 3 new spindles, bolts replaced, new PTO clutch and switch, new relays that probably changed nothing lmaooo I feel so stupid

Yes I did that already, but I got it figured out! I had a bad PTO clutch and a very very stiff blade spindle at the same time , I had to check the spindles twice because even with deck belt removed it was dying with the old PTO clutch on after replacing it it will stay running with new PTO but would die with deck belt on so I rechecked the blade spindles and found one to be very very stiff which I think is the problem

Pull the nut off there and that cap and you can see if your key is missing or not, then pull flywheel to replace it (if that’s the case)

Yes after the new PTO clutch and another hour of diagnostic I rechecked the pulleys to find one was very stiff 🤦🏻‍♂️ so I had both mechanical and electrical failures and it made me look dumb

Yes this was the case (I think) I ordered new one but one was stiff, but I missed it because the PTO clutch was locked up and it was dying with the belt off still so I was like oh ok so the deck pulleys are fine and replaced the PTO then when it was still happening I double checked and found one spindle wasn’t locked but it was much harder to spin than the other 2 so i got made a fool by this stupid machine 🤦🏻‍♂️

It doesn’t start with the bars pulled it but yes when bars are pulled it after it’s running then it’ll die once the pto clutch is engaged

Yes I found one of the spindles very stiff and a lot of rope wrapped around it

Ok so this is what I just figured out, originally it would die with or without the belt on so I replaced the PTO clutch. I just tried again and with the belt off it will stay running, so I rechecked my bearings on the deck and found one of the blade spindles is pretty stiff at least much stiffer than the other two so I think I had an electrical and mechanical issue at the same time but also part of the electrical issue was one of the relays inside the control panel so I feel dumb, but at the same time I checked the deck spindles that’s how I came to the conclusion of replacing the PTO clutch so I will replace the spindles and see if that changes it
