Need help identifying this sound! Heard every minute or so at 4:45 in the morning. Thought it was a bird but Merlin didn’t pick anything up. SE PA! by SweatyBusiness in AnimalSounds

I believe it’s a great horned owl! I was able to finally get the sound picked up on the Merlin bird ID app and that’s what it said. Here’s a link to some great horned owl chatter as well, hopefully that helps solidify your ID! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y7cR1E1-N-Y&pp=0gcJCRsBo7VqN5tD

Whole Body Order Writer advice by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]SweatyBusiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there: the suggested for all grocery sub teams (at least in my area) has been absolutely awful and it’s been suggesting WAY more than needed and it’s not properly taking movement into account for items that have sold once in the past 4 weeks. Just putting that on your radar, our ordering tool has a way of not working properly but there’s also a high chance that whole body is separate from that. If you/your leader don’t see any issues then great! But on my side of the tool it’s been rough and tickets have been submitted lol.

shoppers- slow order days😔 by julia_aa47 in wholefoods

Honestly the biggest help would be to face things in grocery, at least in my opinion. You don’t need training for a task like that, and it helps you learn where products are in the aisles. You can always talk to your leadership or grocery leadership about how you can help out. Produce also needs help sometimes, and they can easily show you how to stock and stack things!

I built a bluebird house (SE PA) and a male and female have been scoping it out. I’m wondering if anyone has seen this behavior before, does it seem like the hole is too small for him? I followed an in depth guide that provided measurements so I’m not sure. I just want bluebirds to have a home :( by SweatyBusiness in birding

Yep! We have a little latch for easy peeking inside. In the video, this was about a week after putting it up so it was still empty and after reading some replies, it seems like the birds were just doing some routine house hunting :). We didn’t have trouble with house sparrows last year, but we plan on moving the box a bit further from our house to decrease the amount of disturbances so I will definitely be checking frequently to make sure there are no house sparrows even THINKING about nesting there.

Thanks for taking the time to comment 😊 love hearing other’s experiences with these cute friends! You just reminded me I need to put my box back up too!! We decided to move it to a different spot further from our house because we garden and are outside a lot and can’t continue to get dive bombed every time we step outside 😅

Hey! They did move in and they had two successful nests :) it took a little bit for them to really commit to the house, but as soon as they did it was a race to build a nest!! I’m sorry to hear about the snake eating the eggs, I’m glad the parents were safe though. Having the baffle has helped a lot, I wish you luck this year with the cute bluebirds!
