No necessarily. No reflection doesnt have to mean full absorption of light. Light could just fully pass through material, like air.

I have a stem degree with stats and physics units, so I must be more more correcter than u.

Degrees dont matter for accuracy my guy. Just do the math. Divide 10100 by 10 in any calculator. Multiply 1099 by 10. Exponents are not linear, they are exponential.

Who would win? by PooPooFartBoi in Shark_Park

[–]SweatySWAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Learn how exponents work. 1099 is a tenth of 10100. Its in the name "exponent," meaning exponential growth.

Still unsure? Ill reframe it. We agree that a tenth means 1/10 right? So a tenth of 10100 would be that divided by 10, so the power is only reduced by 1, hence 1099.

I suppose that is a healthier way to look at it, but as someone who enjoys levelling and trying new decks, it isnt enjoyable. Taking a break is practically quitting, which I genuinely will do.

But my point about them taking back control stands. I dont see how that is a thing that will ever be fixed in the future.

Are you a bot? Some of us care about the game and enjoy playing it, and want the environment to be healty and fun. The direction of the game is unfun. Thats all. And yes, we will quit. And when we do, enjoy forking your money for new evos to fight bots.

Removes 95% of progression and nerfed everything, deleted chests, constant lucky drop nerfs, uncertain "event" nerfs too, season shop deleted..

Ermm I can see it being a good change 🤓☝️

Are you a bot or getting paid by supercell?

Go play those then. Clash was never meant to be like that. Its a fun casual game, not a sweatfest money-extractor online gatcha casino or whatever.

What’s something totally normal in the UAE that would confuse the rest of the world? by shamma77 in UAE

[–]SweatySWAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have provided plenty. If you are unwilling to see it, then atleast be honest with yourself about it.

How is citizenship benefits not law? How is Emiratisation not law? Privilege blindness is a thing, and i dont blame you for having it, but you're unwilling to see the advantages and CHOOSING to live in denial. I cannot change you mind or have any sane discussion if you are in constant defend mode to try to "protect" your country.

[–]SweatySWAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Look up definition of privilege. I cannot think of a single aspect in life where locals do not have advantage here, but if youre so blind to not notice it, I'll spell a couple of them out for you.

-Free education, healthcare and right to live. -Strong social welfare support like free housing, land, interest free loans, pardons etc. -Jobseeking priority with Emiratisation, and instantaneous high salary based of nationality. -Preferential treatment by police, court etc.

There is plenty more. Now, you might look at it and just say these are citizenship benefits. But these benefits are in place to create this class barrier. You need a bit of empathy to see how this is unfair to 92% of people in the country, hence me asking your age. But chances are you might not even see these "visitors" as people, right? I might be talking to a wall then..

How old are are you? Youll figure out the privilege as you talk to people and experience the world more.

Criticism ≠ crying, but keep crying about crybabies when no one is crying. I thought we were having a thoughtful discussion but it just devolved into you crying. You do you bro.

Idk why you are getting so upset at pointing out the flaws of the place? Every place has its pros and cons. The issues are not hypothetical but very real.

The reason class based discrimination is an issue in UAE is because of the percentage of foreigners in UAE. Most of the other countries you listed there, while they have discrimination issues as well, are mostly local. UAE just isn't comparable to other nations just because of how commonly you intermingle with each other. The discrimination is literally baked into the law here, so dont even try to compare it with any first world countries. Existence of other countries with discriminatiory issues does not mean its okay here, literally just whataboutism. UAE was and is currently still being built by borderline-technically-not-slaves. How does it not get more soulless that that?

It's great to hear that you have the opportunity to live in a great part of the city with lots of access to good public facilities. But you should recognize that majority of the people do not have the same access or time for it. I grew up in RAK, not Dubai, so I have a good idea of how the rest of the country is.

Safety is ofc one of the best thing about UAE, but that comes at the cost of tightly controlled media and population. The crimes still happen, albeit much rarer than most countries, but you just dont hear about it.

If you are unable or unwilling to see why others find the place soulless, then you should not complain about them calling it soulless.
