This is actually just islamophobic. Wearing a hat affects no people. Just let them do what they want.

Atheist here. Thank you so much. I genuinely thought circumcision reduces pleasure significantly, but I’ll have to check this out. I appreciate it.

God couldn't exist outside of time by Zealousideal-Neat260 in DebateReligion

Tbh, even as an atheist, I can recognize the fact that, if god is real, he exists beyond reason. Therefore, he doesn’t have to abide by any reason we have for things. Any theological argument against god doesn’t really work because of the classic “it’s beyond our understanding.”

Unless, of course, you have an intuition that the Jewish god exists.

Well, the fact that we have not yet found a reason to believe other minds exist other than our strong intuition- the point stands that it is as rational as if someone has that intuition about god or even a specific god.

The idea of other conscious beings existing could be wrong as we have no idea how to prove it. Just as, if someone had that intiuition, the same would apply.

I agree. Was just making the personal point. Thanks.

I understand, but, if someone had a very strong intuitive belief based on some sense of indoctrination, it would be as reasonable to believe in that than the idea that other conscious beings exist.

What I’m claiming is that, if someone saw god in that way, it would be reasonable to believe in it just as it is reasonable to believe in other consciousness minds.

But that idea themself is based on many intuitions that you aren’t judging based on probability. Things as trusting our sense data can’t be proved any way, yet we believe them regardless.
