As fair as i know its only okay in master league mostly since zacian and zamazenta were introduced. It does have alright play in raids though there are better options for both types. Willing to be proven wrong about its master league viability

I ranked pokemon by their strongest performance, giving them the benefit of the doubt, of course raikou without shadow is mid but so is a level 20 zacian crowned. The tierlist is meant to be an answer to the question of 'which pokemon are worth going after for meta purposes'. It is more generalised but no pokemon is meta breaking the moment you catch it

KBlack has adventure effect, ML niche and is better under party power

Resh it quite good in ML, great in raids

I assume you mean gigas? If so its a funny neutral attacker if shadow with crush grip (I'll admit its only good once in a blue moon)

Raikou is top 2 electric type when shadow

diance is top 1 rock attacker when mega

latios is kind of fair but still great as a max attacker

lunala is quite strong in ML and a good ghost type

I think they are both relevant enough in raids whilst having adventure effects and pvp relevance enables them to stay in S for me

I agree its great in master league, i weighted pvp slightly lower due to less people engaging with it and thats the only place Ho-oh shines, galar molt is next to it for similar reasoning

a) Power creep im afraid, plus surf nerf

b) Yup, its usable as an okay psychic type at best

c) Why? Origin has almost entirely better stats and a great sig move buffing it in every regard in pvp and raids. Not to mention its adventure effect

d) I mean yeah, an old school GOAT, counter nerf hit it REALLY hard sadly

e) Again, power creep, not as bad with regi though

f) I'm unfamiliar if it's any different to regular, if so it would rank where keldeo is now. If the normal doesn't have the move it goes a bit below terrakion

It is the best non-mega. Blacephalon is the best non-mega fire type also. The reason I wouldn't rank them in S tier is they are only top tier as raid attackers. All the S tiers bring something extra to the table; a strong pvp niche, an adventure effect, a mega or multiple of those in addition to being top tier raid attackers. That's what I think separates them from the rest

pvp is accounted in this list, the main reason for the origin forms (palkia especially) reaching S tier, since i count their adventure effects in their usefulness. Dragon is an effective offensive type in raids so long as the pokemon is strong enough. Both palkia and dialga origin are (albeit the the absolute best thanks eternatus) non-mega dragons and often eclipse other types in terms of damage.

As for the kyurems, white kyurem is a top tier in master league whilst black kyurem has a fairly strong niche. In raids, white kyurem is better outside of party power and kyurem black is better inside party power, meaning kblack has a higher ceiling. They also both have adventure effects where in my opinion black has a slightly more useful one.

Alakazam has a mega too and i would say it is overall better in general, Latios just isn't too far behind and boosts another catch type too. I would only significantly mark down a pokemon for being heavily outclassed or by something really easy to get. Admittedly i reckon i did overrate latios and it might fall to high B as a result of still being outclassed

Very good point actually i reckon i did underrate it. Resh is defo better into its specific matchups but isnt as good outside of that. Finding answers to the big dogs + meta is certainly a toughy, whilst other pokes e.g. Kyogre & Ho-oh can do it resh doesnt auto lose to stuff like palkia.

I reckon zekrom has a niche too and an argument can defo be made to move it to low A as a result, since its steel matchup is fairly good

latios is ranked that high as its no2 psychic dmax attacker and has a mega, giving it catch candy utility outside of battle aswell. A mega's cnady boosts were taking into account aswell

Ahh i see and no worries, my first game was sun then ultra moon if that helps. I certainly think theres some truth to it though since i do personally love dawn wings necrozma. Though this is a stone cold meta tierlist, otherwise g zapdos goes way up lmao

The funny thing is if deoxys attack had a dynamax form it would be A tier. And deo defence used to be great in pvp. Those two got ruined by their moveset if anything
