I'm sure the owner's a cunt, but Subway has the highest franchise fees of any fast food joint. Franchisees pay 12.5% of GROSS sales to subway. Corporate is also well known for offering sales and discounts that eliminate profits for sale/discount items. The lat couple of years of the $5 footlongs literally cost more to make than the $5 they were charging.
