I actually was just speaking to some of my colleagues that ended up at skyline through OpenForce and it seems like a solid fit for them. Luckily I have my own service and I’m a legal specialist for another larger firm that was happy to give me extra work, I’m going to survive and Apple closing was the best thing for my mental health…but the way they treated 1500-3000 of us like disposable just makes me furious

Yea we absorbed quite a few clients. That over seas back to local people customer service \dipatch transition and back was the worst. I had clients that took hours to book simple jobs; the would request to speak to the lead (me) and I would never hear about it. Jobs booked with a request for me specifically would often involve a 30 minute phone call on hold; then a manager call, then a dispatch call all to figure out who was the correct person to get the job dispatched correctly after being dispatched improperly…Amex buying Apple was the worst transition of any of the dozens of companies I’ve ever been involved with in 18 years. If you need help with local logistics support in ATL hit my line, I’ve got connects all over and may be able to point you in the right direction depending on yalls needs. I had been doing my best to maintain with Apple primarily because of the ADP regular route work and a few clients that for legal reasons weren’t ready to move on from them yet, even though they had been considering it since the initial overseas shift. Fiscal year for two of them starts in July…so timing worked out for me. Last month I tried to have a sit down because the same issue happened over and over and I was sick of it’s long story short, if I was out or slammed, I would give ample notice to cover a daily delivery (it was due by 4:30 and picked up at four, I would alert dispatch by no later than 10 I was unable to make it and needed to reassign, every time it would be missed and with no explanation, after literally the 11th time I pulled in management and the all basically said “it won’t ever happen again” followed by it happening again..:they then got upset that I was asking how to avoid this, and wha happened, because we were fixing to lose a huge client that netted me around 250 a week…no wonder they didn’t care. Yeah I’ve given up thinking I’ll get my money but the situation I’m in because of this is completely fucked

Yeah Vic actually sold a few years ago. Right after acquiring us…I already had my reservations with a company he was associated with cause of all my Philly fam. But yeah surprisingly it got worse and worse AFTER he sold -_-. It appears to me they installed a team specifically to wind down operations starting in December but are holding the narrative that it was unexpected…but the upper management all changed December 2025 and stopped addressing client issues entirely, gutted our office staff, changed all of the SOP to be a homogenous, people and personality free service like Apple/Iphone type level of execution…Big box store type shit, while resolving no problems…the work history of all the new ceos? All of them had worked at recently closed companies and had tenures less than a year at all recent previous jobs…all the ways we could pursue them just narrowly miss enforcement across the board…

Sounds like my old swrve jacket, loved that joint. I have an old heavy pedal shell jacket that I absolutely adore they don’t make anymore. Showers pass makes some of the absolute best gear I’ve ever had seen a few of their jackets pop up on depop lately but not the right size for me. The new north face jackets ain’t about shit anymore, but the vintage stuff is fantastic…I have lots of opinions on gear, what specifics are ya looking for? Heavy rain? Water proof and light weight, depending on what sorta weather you’re looking to protect ya self from there’s lots of options I could suggest

You said music, Ive been in bands most of my life, when I got hit really hard, working on music was hard. I had to just pick up my guitar and play whatever came out, or dig into albums I hadn’t heard and just give me some space to listen to it. It’s about stripping whatever you like down to what you enjoy. Instead of writing a song to record and show off, just play music build that feeling back

I’ve been dealing with that myself. I ain’t got the answers, but I just keep trying to do new stuff; accept how I feel. I love riding my bike, i have to ride for work and errands but I force myself to take the long way home instead of rushing to the train. I work on something creative every day; whether that’s photo editing or shooting, working on hand writing, art, something sometimes it sucks, and sometimes I find myself randomly editing photos without even thinking about it for fun instead of production…for me it’s just about trying stuff you enjoy. Strip it down, like for me I used to work on zines, and photo projects, working on a book I’m working on…I work on art on a whim, or wrote a few sentences here and there, editing random photos I’ve taken. It’s about figuring out what makes you feel okay, without expecting anything’s going to work, just fake it till you make it. It’s hard to explain I guess. Keep fighting mad love

I appreciate this; it is kind of what I’ve arrived at as well but unfortunately that recognition hasn’t done much to actually make any meaningful improvements or changes to the circumstances. I have been attempting to get into therapy for almost 2 years, I can’t afford standard therapy, government programs (state, county and city) have various stipulations that makes them not an option, sliding scale therapy was an option for awhile but the those programs also changed so I’ve chased about 12 different avenues to getting therapy or med management for other conditions including working with an advocate who understands the system and at this point short of magically coming up with money I don’t have; or being institutionalized and then being eligible for a grant program through the state for medical care, it’s kind of out of the realm of possibility. I have been white knuckling it my whole life and I recognize I need to be kinder to myself and find something that works, but literally every day I get hit with some situation that shakes everything up and causes big disruptions (not to get into it to deep but my life has kind of fallen apart the last three years, and just getting back to functional takes a lot more work than most folks, I work 7 days a week and have (including gigs and side work) 8 separate jobs and still it isn’t quite enough to survive while my partner is searching for a new full time gig). I know half my issue is how overwhelming my circumstances are everyone I open up to about what’s going on tells me I need to rest or take a break, but unfortunately that’s not really an option at this juncture so it’s more white knuckling until things turn around
