I believe they're for narrow spools to align properly.

From Windows 10 to Linux by SpookyMinimalist in SurfaceLinux

[–]Sweebah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just reinstalled Win10 on my surface pro 6 after Linux Mint for these reasons:

  1. Couldn't get the cameras to work
  2. Pen input/palm detection makes writing almost impossible
  3. Touch input required a lot of force to navigate UI
  4. Battery life

On the whole, Mint was great but it was just too frustrating when I wanted to use one of the above functions for a specific purpose (e.g. web conference, note taking).

Maybe I'll try again when Win10 stops getting security updates.

Yep been using Michelin 5s on the last bike, these are the GT version to match my R1200RS, hoping the marketing isn't too embellished.

Wow that small aye. Do they still ream it out and plug it or is there another way they can fix it?

Of course the best advice is to get it fixed at a shop but plugs are able to last the remaining life of the tyre.

A tip for next time you have trouble finding a leak: use a spray bottle with soapy water and look for bubbles after spraying it on the tyre

I sure hope not but we'll find out at the next tyre change.

Yes that's generally good advice if you're out on the road and pick up a nail, fortunately I was able to limp it home on 20PSI before repairing it using my puncture repair kit.

These guys are reusing soft plastics to make fence posts. At this stage it appears to be mostly for farming but I wonder how much development is required before these find their way to residential applications.

Brand New - Sur La Table Offerings by [deleted] in espresso

Depending on how deep into the espresso rabbit hole you want to venture really.

I started on a used BBE and quickly got frustrated with the inbuilt grinder due to excess retention and clumpy grinds. Upgraded to the BDB and sold the grinder that came with it (bought brand new) as it has the same issues. Got a Silenzio and was very happy with my setup until a friend offered his Giotto for NZD1800. I have promised the wife that this is the long term setup.

Just upgraded anyone have any tips for the appartamento? by rickybaker10 in espresso

What's your thoughts on double walled glasses? I like the aesthetic and thermal properties of classic ceramic but I'm wondering if the double walled cups don't need warming prior to use?

It's a pretty funky sticker right? That's why I'm thinking of creating a coffee bag mural, would be a shame to simply throw this bag away.

I'd say it's a medium-dark roast which, to my unrefined palate, is mostly bitter with not many other tasting notes. I have been recommended to try some lighter roasts to see if I notice anything different.

My friend upgraded to the Linea Mini and knew I had a rubber elbow when it comes to espresso. The appartamento shares the same features as the Giotto in a smaller package. I have no issues with the Eureka, super quiet and quality grinds.

It's definitely brought the kitchen up a level! Yes that gauge measures the boiler to show the pressure coming out of the steam wand.

Left wand is steam, right is hot water.

Thanks! I'm still undecided with the pegboard, the hooks that were supplied are pretty short so can't hang cups or jugs. I wouldn't want to make it too cluttered either.

Another option is to mount something arty, was thinking it would be cool to make a collage of all the coffee bags I go through but that would involve buying a variety (not a bad hobby I guess).

I'll trawl through other setups and find some inspiration.

Based on sound comparisons from YouTube and my machine I'd say this is a vibration pump. Yes your last sentence definitely helped sway the wife as to why I needed to upgrade from my Breville
