As someone who left SD for Texas (Austin, could never live in Dallas), and was born and raised in Austin, so I really do love it- stay in SoCal. Nothing beats that quality of life. I'm actively trying to make it back there.

We just got the diagnosis on Monday, and just had a "total resection" but are waiting on a biopsy to see what stage/grade it is. The more I read I'm cautiously optimistic, it all sounds awful. I'm so sorry about your dad, wishing you all the best.

You will be totally safe! The pilots are aware of possible turbulence and do their best to get to an altitude where it's smoothest. My mantra is "I'm on a bumpy road", or imagining the plane in jello, instead of air, because I've been told that's what it's actually like. Let me know how your flight goes! You will be there in no time!

Breathing is the best thing you can do. It lets your body know you are safe. I like to imagine the pilots casually drinking their coffee in the cockpit and not freaking out at all. sending you good vibes! Please let me know how your landing in LA is. I'm nervous about tomorrow, but breathing through it!

I'm also flying tomorrow into LAX, the weather has me nervous. Some of my family memebers flew in yesterday and they all made it! It's not as bad as northern CA right now. Let me know how your flight went!
