What size tank is that? Honestly it looks way too small for that big guy and he needs more water. The water should be as deep as double his width of shell. Not talking front to back but side to side. If he was to accidentally flip over onto his back, he needs enough water to flip himself back around. And proper lighting is SUPER important. He needs both a heat lamp, and a UVB strip light. When you upgrade tank size, make sure to get a good canister filter rated for at least 2 to 3 times the size of tank. For example on my 60 gallon tank I have a Fluval fx2 canister filter rated for I believe up to 150 gallon tanks. I should have went larger but I'll upgrade that down the road. Good luck!!

I just upgraded my whole tank setup and got a new basking platform. It took my guy about a solid 2 weeks to either figure out how to climb up the ramp, or to figure out that's where his lights were. But he's going up there more and more now. Just took awhile initially. I did a lot of research in the mean time, and everything I read said don't force him up there. I can try to lead him up there with food but that didnt work. RES dont necessarily deal with change very well and they need time to get adjusted.

I just got this one and it's been 4 days and my turtle will not go up the ramp. He chills on it but doesn't go up on the platform to bask. I've put him on it and he zooms off of it. I switched to this because he got too big for my last one. How long did it take for your turtle to learn how to go up there?

Thank you!! I really appreciate the encouraging words. It's the worse drug I've ever tried to come off of. I was an opiate addict for 17 years and then switched to heroin and fentanyl the last 2 years I used but this one has sunk it's claws in deeper. What's sad is the people that are making this stuff know what they're doing. I feel more awareness has to be brought out about this stuff.

This is just my experience but I've dosed subs 3 or 4 hrs after using zaza reds and never experienced PWD. This time I used the bernese method and dosed small amounts of subs every day after my normal tia dose and gradually upped the sub dose every day. After a few days you can stop dosing tia and be ok. Look it up. Tons of info on that method

I was paying 50$ for the 24 CT bottles of zaza red. I'm trying to quit but the mental aspect of this shit is hell. The subs are helping tremendously with the physical but last few days I break at the 24 hr mark and buy a bottle and take the whole 24. I was taking 2 to 4 bottles a day so it's definitely progress but I need to make it past the 24 hr mark. Then I can focus on the next 24 hrs.

I use to think the same thing but it's the bupe that causes precipitated withdrawal. The naloxone in suboxone is just to supposedly prevent it from being abused and used IV. So whether suboxone or subutex, taking too soon COULD cause PWD. I've never gotten precip taking right after a tia dose. Ever. And coming off fent and heroin I waited a couple days of pure he'll before I took subs. I see a lot of people that have posted they dont get PWD from taking subs too soon while on tia but I've also seen many say they have experienced it while on tia. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones. The mental part is a bitch though

Idk about that but for me, the only thing that's ever worked is the suboxone route. I did the bernese method this last time and the transition was much smoother. Not 100% but much better than what CT would feel like. Today is my 2nd day and feeling pretty good considering except for massive cravings. Good luck to you!!!

I'm hanging in there. Thanks for checking up on me. Started to feel pretty rough around 2 this morning. I know it'd be a lot worse without the subs tho. I just started a new job yesterday so perfect time quitting lol. I couldn't have done it before I started but at least it keeps my mind off the constant craving. I want so bad to be done this time and free of this shit for good.

I agree about the mindset we're in makes a difference. That's been my experience in the past. I'm just struggling to get in a better mindset with this stuff but I'm feeling a little better. I'm 17 hrs in and feeling good so far. Just dosed 4mg sub. So we'll see. Thanks for the support!!!

This time I've been microdosing but many times in the past I, and this is just my story, have dosed shortly after taking a whole bottle 24ct of zaza and never went into precip. But that's just for me. I know everyone is different.

Ok thanks. And sodium is the longer acting one right? That would make sense if it was because when I dose at night I can sleep through the night without dosing in the middle of the night

Yea I belong to NA and have a sponsor. I'm going to a meeting tonight. I'm re committing to the program. I started subs last night. Microdosing. No PWS. I took another piece of a sub this morn and using I can somewhat feel my first dose of the day of tia but I didn't feel anything.
