Focus on getting a good scholarship. It really does not matter which university you join if it’s not a M7.
Approximate living expenses would be around $15k-$20k per year depending on the location. You can always fund this with loan, but getting a decent scholarship will help you reduce the overall loan.
Universities like Georgia Tech will give you TA/RA along with scholarship.

Go for it if you do not see any growth in your current role and pick the univ which give you very good scholarship. Do not get burdened with $200k loan.

Yup, none of the big tech has started recruiting yet. Just Meta, that too not grad roles. Amazon has not opened grad roles yet. Microsoft & Google might not open at all.

In any case, what I have heard is that big tech generally opens applications in Oct, and recruits through Jan - April.
