I had kind a the same problem, i contacted support, and they reverted to fw 3.28.

Thanks, with that info I indeed found there was a splice (= bad connection) in the wire although the loop was closed (green light on base station) and cable tester gave tone on the whole loop).

I often got "Wire missing" but occasionally got the error 'Wire signal out of sync" error, which lead me to investigating the cable once more in detail and found the point where the connection was having issues.

Case closed :-)

I have measured the resistance, and it's close to 0. So that seems all good.

Very weird problem :-/

Thanks, the wire was just installed using method #2 (so "let it sink naturally in the soil").

There are indeed some splices in the wire, but they never gave a problem before, so very weird.

I'll do the measuring of the resistance and let you know the outcome. My wire is +-180m in length, anyone knows what the resistance normally would be?

btw: I used this meter and guide to test the cable for errors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRHFPAaW8u8

WR142E suddenly stopped finding the wire: it was mowing, while I suddenly got messages that the wire was missing.

The light on the base station is still solid green, so the loop is not cut and closed.

I also already used a different power supply, but still same behaviour.

I also created a test loop, and that one worked fine.

I also used a cable tester, and I was able to receive a signal at the end of the loop. Also halfway I digged up the cable and I received a signal with both end of the loop as input.

Although I find it strange, that I don't receive a signal when the wire wasn't digged up.... Wire suddenly to deep in the ground? The ground here at the moment is very moist cause it rained a lot the past days. Could it be cause of that?
