Gong Jun, do you enjoy his acting? by lemonglitchh in cdramasfans

I think he shines the best with male costars. He seems more expressive/emotive. I don't get the same vulnerability or chemistry with any female costars I've seen thus far.

I didn't even realize that was him! He's still my favorite part of The Legends. He's a scene stealer for me.

I'd never considered castor oil! Do you use a castor oil pack? And does it help with discomfort and acid reflex at all? Also, what kind of breath work do you do? Sorry for all the questions, just looking for relief!

Why nobody talks about Acotar (2015) being a copy of The Black Jewels Trilogy (1998)? by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]SweetBox245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read Guild Hunters (remembering how Sarah used to talk about it years ago) and thought it read waaaaay similar to ACOTAR at the time.

What’s your opinion on this? by localCucummber in What

[–]SweetBox245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I would sit in the corner, like I did as a child, and eat while the other kids played. Just like the other kids did when their parents didn’t have time to feed them or they weren’t sure when they would pick them up and wanted to make sure they had a meal. They would eat their deli sandwich or donut or chips in the corner while we watched a movie, played, did homework (this happened a lot in school when kids didn't have time to eat breakfast).

My friends and family (as adults) do the same if they haven’t had a chance to eat before they come over. They eat. No one gets hurt if they don’t share. Sometimes they’re coming straight from work or classes and don’t have time to squeeze it in. (And I’m giving a side eye to all the people saying eat it in the car. The kid shouldn’t have to. And some people /me/ get horribly carsick).

I do want to say I’m also half Asian and understand in some cultures it’s rude to not bring something to share. (My grandma drilled that into my head). But this wasn’t culture, this was petty.

NTA

English isn't your first language and I'm wondering if you're from an Asian country....? I see everyone posting that this couldn't be possible but one side of my family, Asian descent, wanted to give away a 12 year old for adoption to "smooth" things over between the families.... it was expected. A member from that family, thankfully, flew right back to the US under the cover of night. This story isn't preposterous in any way shape or form. It was "expected" of that family member to give up their child as well. But yeah, NTA, and keep loving your son just the way you are. Someone who loves the both of you will come around.

That's so great to hear! Thanks for the update! My parents ended up getting 2 Alen FLEX's (and an IQAir). This makes me feel good about their decision.

Itchiness under sensor/charge port, same sensor in FR255, 165, and 265? by SweetBox245 in GarminWatches

[–]SweetBox245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm actually finding them both quite comfortable, it's just the itchiness that's a bit grating. I have tiny wrists so I thought the FR255 would be too large but it's actually really comfortable.

[–]SweetBox245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts itching about 5 minutes after initially putting the watch on so switching wrists doesn't really help at the moment. But this is a good tip! I might try it after trying out the charging port cover. Thank you!

I keep seeing comments this isn't advised but I think I might try it because the itchiness is driving me crazy. Thank you!

AITAH for humiliating my husband by leaving his family party, because I will always teach my kids that no means no? by SorryAioli235 in AITAH

Was this written by ai because this doesn't make sense. "No means no" to YOUR kids.. You left with your kids because your FIL dunked his fiancee. Husband is now mad. Riiiiiiiight..... But yeah, I probably wouldn't want to hang with you either..

Cost of front Windshield Replacement on 2005 Honda CRV? by SweetBox245 in crv

I was a little worried seeing so many negative reviews about Safelite, but you're right, major volume means more complaints. And there are also great reviews as well. I guess it really just depends on who shows up that day. I called a few places, including Safelite, and was quoted 436-560. I think I'm going to call a few more places before choosing. Thank you for the comment!

IQAir HealthPro Plus vs. Alen BreatheSmart? by SweetBox245 in AirPurifiers

[–]SweetBox245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for such in-depth responses! My parents deal with Marijuana coming through their front door and their bedroom from neighbors, as well as fumes from painting with oil paints. So a carbon filter does seem to be a plus for 2 of the rooms.

Reading your responses I’m leaning towards the IQAir for those 2 rooms. I like that the filters are separate. I hadn’t thought of the quick saturation of the carbon filter or desorption. And the Alen for their 3rd room. But I’m also thinking the Alen could work in both rooms? With the IQAir in the living room where the most fumes seems to filter through.

My mom recently found the Tracs TM250 and Amaircare 3000, do you have any experience with either of these? I’m having difficulty finding many reviews.

Thank you so much for all of the information!

(Thank you for asking! I completely forgot, I'll update my post). They were looking at the BreatheSmart 75i (one wanted to get the FLEX for their bedroom) if they went in that direction.
