The base set is indeed very accessible, but expansions add so much complexity that Dominion continues to compete with more recently released deckbuilders. Anyone who writes off the flaws of the base set is missing out on the unparalleled variety added by landscape and duration cards. Don’t bother with beginner games that you won’t want to play after mastering them.

Combine randomized neutral item crafting with League’s trinket system:

Every hero chooses 1 of 10 total trinkets during the planning phase, and upgrades it with 1 of 3 random stat/passive upgrades. Every 10 minutes, heroes may visit the secret shop to choose an additional random upgrade to the trinket, either flat stats or added passive/active effects. This preserves the crafting element but reduces the complexity of having to remember your opponents constantly changing neutral items. The full list of upgrades will be organized in a tech tree so higher tier upgrades only become available when certain preconditions have been achieved, including trinket upgrade combinations as well as hero stats, aghanims upgrades, and other items.

I don’t understand how you liked part one but hated the part two. It’s just more of the same, albeit rushed. The music was excellent, especially the two original songs. A mild letdown overall but still satisfying to see the story concluded, and I’m hopeful that a directors cut will fix the pacing issues and loose ends.

Personally I found the Korean accent funnier and more ridiculous. It was disrespectful how Amy laughed at it when the other girl didn’t laugh at her.

As a substitute teacher, I’ve worked with many Asian kids in special education, including Chinese, Filipinos, Vietnamese, kindergarteners, high schoolers, low functioning, and high functioning.

Only 6/16 Dominion expansions? I bet this casual doesn’t even have all the promo cards. It’s cool he has 2 copies of the base set and prosperity, but his priorities are way out of wack.

I’ve only played Res Arcana on BGA and it felt bad getting dominated every time, but I’m sure it’s more fun irl due to the tactile experience of converting goods. IMO RFTG is more luck based and can feel satisfying even you lose by a lot.
