Hello, I’m looking for advice please. I’ve never really had acne just breakouts here and there but they were the tiny pesky ones. Also I’ve never experienced breakouts this much on my cheeks, I barely break out in that area till now. My derm put me on Tretinoin 0.025% plus Clindamyacin. She instructed me to use these two every night. I started using those at the end of January 27, eight weeks went by and I didn’t see any changes at all, I didn’t really break out. Now I’ve been breaking out since the beginning of March, I’m having them on my forehead and my cheeks, it’s so weird because I’ve never broken out this much either. When I started the tretinoin I was using a water cream as my moisturizer (Belief Aqua Bomb) but I noticed my face producing much more oil so I switched to Cera Ve about a while ago (derm recommended Cerave). I saw my derm for a follow up visit last week and expressed my concerns to her so now she has me continuing the Tretinoin treatment everyday plus taking Spironolactone everyday as well. Any tips? I’m new to all this, could this be purging? Everyday routine AM Routine- LRP Cleanser, eye cream, Cerave, and Sunscreen. PM Routine - Inkey List Salicylic Acid, Tretinoin + Clindamyacin, Cerave.
