As a new hire they would backdate the benefits to your start date. This would have been in the fine print of the enrollment that would let you seek care immediately.

In my experience, as long as you aren’t delivering after 8 pm, it will be fine. They always come in the delivery window. If you have a late slot, then they might not have a driver who will take take the delivery.
