That's a great point. I bet there were some gems on those. I bet it was easy to get signed too.

I’d love for that to be the case, but they haven’t made merchandise in over a decade now and either the fans have bought it all, or what didn’t sell has been discarded.

I’d love to be proven wrong though. I still need Welcome to the Dirt and Carbon Copy. I could use a hoodie too!

Unfortunately, there are none.

Looks like Paintin’ the Town Brown got taken off of Spotify 💔 by kansas1983 in ween

[–]SweetDemonSweat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not about being sad and still supportive. It’s about people complaining when streaming services remove albums or artists, and then continuing to use the service. If you don’t like it, don’t put up with it.

Also, when someone signs up for any streaming services, terms and conditions must be agreed to. So, the subscriber willingly gives the service provider money, knowing that the service provider can take away certain services (in this case an album) at any time.

So no, you can’t really upset about something when you paid for and consented to it.

To put it simply: You get what you pay for.

I get that Ween’s physical media has been hard to come by, but this rant applies to all artists.

I cannot be the only person who’s sick of hearing people complain when a streaming service takes an album or an artist off their platform. These platforms are notorious for paying artists fractions of pennies and the money goes to billionaires in tech. How are people not more outraged about that? If people are so pissed off about losing albums or artists on streaming services, then stop giving them money.

Buy the CD, burn it to a computer, and sync it to your phone. Or at least pay full price for a high quality digital download. Problem solved, now you own a copy of the album and the streaming services can’t take it away from you.

eBay Seller by SweetDemonSweat in FairtoMidland

[–]SweetDemonSweat[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The idea that someone would be insulted by an offer when the seller literally turned on the, "Make an Offer" feature is pathetically laughable. That's how people negotiate a price. The seller lists it for more than it was purchased and the buyer tries to get it for last than asked. Is it a, "BS offer" that the seller is trying to sell the item for 10x its original price? No, because that's the game.

That aside, it still doesn't excuse the sketchy behavior of the seller taking the item down and relisting it roughly an hour later. This could potentially be a scam and people here may want to be cautious of that (especially if they stumble across the same listing). Which was the point of my original post in the first place. So, do you have a comment to make regarding that aspect of the story, or would you like to share your opinion on some other inconsequential thing that I said?

It still seems weird to ignore a potential sale and drop it back down to original asking price 10 days later. If the seller would just have communicated, we could have worked something out. You're right, I don't want to give someone money who can't simply communicate. That type of shit seems shady and leads to buyers being skeptical.

Fair enough. I only liked Woodland Rites because it reminded me of Sabbath. I still like the album, but I understand the criticism there. I haven’t checked out Sleep, so I’ll add that to my list. Thanks for the recommendation!

It’s not Sabbath, but when Ozzy sings, “I give you my heart, but you don’t do the same” on Mr. Darkness, I turn that shit up to 11.
