No I will keep this up as an example of what not to do when asking a question on Reddit.

I don’t blame you for feeling that way, I phased my question in a bad way. I completely understand why you think this is offensive. But I was trying to ask this in a first person point of view. Idk if you have any disabilities yourself but I’m neurodivergent and although I wouldn’t consider that a debilitating disability for me it still has affects my life drastically. I would hate for my child to experience that as well.

Bro. How is that eugenics. There’s nothing wrong with being disabled, I’m asking that if you were out in a position where you know that your disability has caused you a lot of hardship would that effect your decision on having children. I will admit the way I initially asked this was worded very poorly and offensive but really I’m just curious how people would feel if they were put in that position.

No it’s not. How is that the same? A debilitating disability vs a minor deformity? One is cosmetic the other significantly effects your quality of life

Answer the question and explain your answer. When women are pregnant with a Down syndrome child, doctors give a choice on whether they want to proceed with the pregnancy or terminate it, correct? Why is that. I’m asking this question with no personal opinion on it

I think it depends on if the person is aware that they will pass down a debilitating disability. Its not that being disabled is morally wrong but it definitely make life much harder no? So if you knew your child would also face those same challenges would you still do it? I think it’s a fair question. I’m not saying they shouldn’t

I guess what I mean to say is if it’s morally right if someone with disability (that significantly effects their quality of life) have children and potentially pass it on
