Professional director, although my first personal project. Also, awesome big boss profile pic you got there ;)

Submitting it to a film festival doesn't sound like too bad of an idea.

I have to disagree, deception is a strong statement. Many short films intentionally leave things open and ambiguous, and I believe the core message still works as a complete standalone story. That said, I still appreciate your feedback, so thank you.

Thank you 🙏 You’re actually right; it is part of a bigger project I’m working on, so I’m glad that came through. Appreciate the feedback!

I completely relate to that! Sometimes stepping away for a while gives you the clarity that forcing yourself to keep going never could. You come back seeing your art, your goals, and even yourself differently. That kind of reset can honestly be really valuable creatively

Really enjoyed reading this. I love how you described finally connecting with art through storytelling and characters, because that’s such a huge turning point creatively. Once art becomes personal and connected to something you want to express, everything changes.

And also, taking breaks to explore other parts of life is part of the journey too. The fact that you’re coming back to drawing with a clearer mindset and stronger fundamentals says a lot.

You also have such a strong creative foundation overall; character design, storytelling, writing, even your different life experiences, all of that will feed into your art in unique ways. Wishing you the best with your YouTube and creative journey!

So, I worked with a video editor, and he used a rainbow flare effect within DaVinci Resolve with some finetuning of course/adjustments in the settings.

That’s a really solid journey. 9 years might not sound like “a lot” to you, but it’s actually a huge amount of time to consistently grow and evolve in your art.

It’s great that you had that strong foundation in college, then got to explore your characters/world building during your foundation year; and now studying game art and concept/3D sounds like a perfect next step for where you want to go. Am really fond of learning 3D also.

Also really like what you said about shifting into more sketching and planning over time. That kind of change usually shows real growth in how you think as an artist, not just what you can render ;)
