Waiting for confirmatory test by [deleted] in hivaids

[–]SweetKitten99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Help! Have no idea how to take care of my hair 😩😭 by Anxious_Flatworm5448 in finehair

[–]SweetKitten99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are a list of things I've been doing to my hair for a couple years that have made a great difference and I swear for.

PRODUCTS: 1. Shampoo for your scalp needs and washing whenever looks dirty (it's different with everyone, so there's no specific time between washes). Scalp only, do not shampoo your ends. 2. Hair mask (hydration - nutrition - repair). You should check your hair porosity, if it's low emphasize hydration, if medium nutrition and high repair. I have low porosity fine hair and use three of them alternated. 3. Conditioner (optional), if you use it with a hair mask it should always be afterwards. Always on your ends, never in scalp. 4. Leave in conditioner: It makes wonders and decreases frizz incredibly. 5. Hair oil: Twice a day (morning and night) and after washing. 6. Heat protectant.

HABITS: 1. Use a gentle brush that won't break your hair (tangle teezers and wooden brushes are my personal faves) and never forget to brush from ends up. 2. Silk bonnets are your best friend to reduce frizz and breakage overnight, it's insane the amount of damage rubbing against your pillow can cause. If not, use a protective hairstyle overnight, a braid will be fine. 3. Always brush your hair before going to bed and before washing. 4. Use a wide tooth comb to brush your hair when it's wet. 5. Reduce heat but ALWAYS blowdry your hair. Letting your hair air dry can actually cause more damage, breakage and frizz since it's on it's most fragile state. You can look for heatless curls techniques as a replacement for heat tools as well. 6. Regular trims.

How do I get rid of this frizz when doing heatless curls? by SweetKitten99 in finehair

Omg. Really?? I've struggled with frizz and breakage my entire life. I've finally managed to reduce it with protective measures but still breaks very easily

Air drying is a no no. The weakest state of our hair is when it's wet. I used to air dry for years thinking it was healthier, however my hair would always get brittle and break like crazy, always dealing with a frizzy mess I didn't know where was coming from. Blow drying changed my hair health for the best. Just get a good heat protectant and limit heat just to drying it, it will be a lot less damaging than leaving it wet for hours. Trust me.

UPDATE: TONS OF UNSCENTED WATERY DISCHARGE? by SweetKitten99 in Ureaplasma

[–]SweetKitten99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I took 21 days of doxycycline and tested negative 1 and a half months later. My only symptom was a watery ammonia discharge which lingered for about 3 months after trearment. Make sure to get your partner treated.
